the anthems forum, 2005–2010

From 2005 the anthems.com.au forum was where Adelaide's old school crowd hung out between parties. The forum's database didn't survive, so anthems has rebuilt it from the web archives and put it back where it lived.

Dips are mostly gaps in what the crawlers captured, not quiet months. The forum was busiest from late 2005 to 2007.

Busiest single day in the archive: 8 Jan 2007, with 651 posts.

Where it came from

Everything here was captured by the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine and the Australian Web Archive (National Library of Australia) between 2005 and 2010. Thread pages, printable and lo-fi copies of threads, attachments, and images hosted elsewhere were all pulled together and de-duplicated. Posts marked r came from those alternative copies.

What's missing

Got something we don't?

Saved forum emails, photos you posted, old hard drives and CDs: if you've got copies, they can fill the holes. Anything in an "image not archived" box is a gap.

Privacy & removal

Email addresses and phone numbers in posts have been removed automatically, profile pages are not published, and nothing that sat behind the member login is here. If a post or photo of you is here and you'd rather it wasn't, email paul@anthems.com.au with the page link and it will be taken down. No questions asked.

Thank you

This archive is published by anthems. Every post here is the words of the person who wrote it, kept as it was written. The rebuild was only possible because the Internet Archive and the National Library of Australia saved copies of the forum while it was live. Thank you to them, and to everyone who posted and kept the crowd together.
