I thought id take a point from RA and start this tread.

Well he is a chance to introduce yourself or just tell us what your up to its all good!!!

my names trevor and alot of people probably know me from the RA boards and from out clubbin/ravin.

i am feeling very sorry for myself this arvo. didnt get out of bed till 4:15pm lol! had a awesome night at UW taking pics, having a dance and catching up with alot of people i hadnt seen in a while. plus many new faces. a big ups to you all for a fantastic night.

You didn't get out of bed until 4:15? You slacker! Now if I can just get to sleep in the first place, I can worry about when I get up

...SANG!!! Been out and about for far too long. Spent most of my clubbing years at the Planet (RIP) and followed by Heaven. Went to places like the Big Ticket, Club America, Elysium, the Synagogue, the Stag (ugh), Metropolis, the original Rio's, Visions, La luna, Dreamers (ahh, such distorted early morning memories) and Cartoons (if you count that as a club). I'm sure there's more but its all a haze. Got to know most of the DJs at the old venues and can't seem to remember much at all. I miss Heaven when Tim used to do the early sets, jayse used to drop all sorts of tracks from jungle (err drumnbass) and Angus filled the room with Hardcore (I miss the Scott Brown tracks too!).

scott brown!!!! was dancing so hard to the whole of his 1 1/2 hour set at enchanted! fucking insane! started off with oldschool happy hard and then just went flat our hardcore! wow!

ok...clue aka Chris. Have been around the scene for years. Close to 13 approx. Started out as an underager at Pulse at the Dom Polski centre to becoming a legal punter at the ark, discovery, choice etc etc. Became a train spotter and started buying records and DJ in about '94. From there, joined Coast FM with the Lunacy crew and then Illumination. Finished uni at the end of '96 and moved to Canberra for 3 years and played at a few private parties. Became one of the original members of the Canberra Dance Music Industry Group to help regulate promoters who were getting out of control with too many small parties and not enough large ones. DJed in a commercial club for about 18 months just for some extra pocket money. Moved back to SA at the end of '99 where i've just become another face in the crowd.
Would love to get behind the decks at some parties again so Paul, if you read this, keep me in mind!!!

from what i can remember that EP had a few decent tracks...

it had "we are the future" (by the capital B?)
and notably, a timeless track by Aquila

It's funny i used to see him play back then in like 1999 and i still see him play now sometimes at New York Bar and Grill (as much as i hate admiting that) and it's like 6 years on!!!

And so do punters like me. I can remember dancing next to the bloody speakers at Fresh'n'Up on-stage and it killed my ears, and also going to Heaven 3 times a week dancing in front of the speakers didn't help either.

Hi im Michael, im 23 years young, have a wonderful fiancee (Trance Tripper), 2 step children, both boys, aged 12 and 11 and one 8 month old daughter (c avatar). We own our house and plan on renevating soon as we now need four bedrooms - and i want a pool. We have a family cat named Pikachu (dam pokemon) two gold fish and three cockatiel birds.

I own a nissan Silvia and a VT commondore, I fancy myself as a bedroom DJ, along with my brother and we regularly mix at my place on friday nights or after a night out. Only using cd's for now but once the cash starts flowing ill purchase vinyl and all the other associated gear.

Music wise i love hard nrg, a little bit of hardcore and am totally against drum n bass, just not my thang but the missus loves it.

I love raving, especially the outdoor events, enchanted would be the best - well duh. although i don't get out much now, although the next four months look like we are going to party our raving little butts off.

I've tried to do the whole 'where did you go' thing, and I must admit I'm having a hard time remembering. Chemistry? Alchemy? (whatever Thursday nights at Heaven was circa 1994/1995) NFI? wierd one-offs in the post-LeRox Building involving plastic dolls, lambs brains and bicarb soda? Time Tunnel?

94/95 were my big years. 93 I was o/s, and 92 I was still a little punter with too strict parents.

I still have a 1995 Mac LC475 with Photoshop 5.0 licenced to Core productions on it (don't ask). But have none of the mags any more - moved house too many times for that.

As for now, am 29, work at one of the Uni's as a lecturer and tutor. Get to look at dance music in a few of the subjects I teach in which is great.

I'm 24, female, 5'4", I have longish light brown hair (but by the next anthems hopefully it will be bright pink )

I'm currently working as an admin chick in a mortgage centre *yawns* and have a small hobby business making and design clothes (mostly rave outfits.)

I two biggest passions are dancing (I dance for SpecialK's group GLOBAL ENERGY on the odd occasion) and music (all kinds, but especially hardcore - all its varieties... UK, Dutch, Happy, Old school etc..) and trance (i love girlie vocals) and hard bass.

Heey...my name is Kane...and im 20...turning 21 in two weeks! yeah!
I usually post on RA under the same name...but after Sarahs anthems propaganda I have decided to get off my ass and actually start posting!!

I have loved dance music for years, but over the last 2 or so years, its evolved into a passion...maybe even an obsession hehe! I spend many a late night on Reason bashing my eardrums to death with bass drums...but I love it!

My fav genres are: Freeform, Hardcore, Nrg, Psy, Hard Trance with some DnB and Tek/Deep House thrown in for good measure. In other words...if it sounds good and gets me moving then it gets my vote!

I love dancing it up at events...even when the "hurt" sets in hehe! But thats what massages are for! When im not at an event...I can usually be spotted now at Earth on generic nights...glowsticks in hand.

of having one of the V8s blow a con rod clear outta the block and picking it up form in front os us after the race.. the speed that thing was doing to exit the block... and land at our feet......

dam i loved it! ill be back again next year!

i have worked at the last 2 or 3 clipsals working on a food van.......never work on a food van. it is the worst job....but i needed the $$$

I was in the Clipsal corporate box this year (stroke of damn good luck, on perk of working for Clipsal)...best seats in the house...above the starting line..next to the winners podium...food and drinks fully laid on...I got to see how the other half live and I liked it....you boys would be hellishly jealous too, as all of the grid girls were in and out of the box all day too...nice girls!!! (see attached pic)

yeah, the only difference between me and the grid girls was the amount of make-up and bra size (I lacked a great deal in both of these areas)

first 2 days were amazing weather!! 26*c which feels like 30. clear blue skies. its all green and beautiful. just been relaxing and catching up with a few relatives. been eatting like a pig and drinking lots of nice canadian beer.

staying on the farm in the country so its nice and relaxing. still a bit jet lagged so ive been going to bed rather early. but that will only last a few more days i think.

its a bit tough though. where im staying doesnt have cable so the tv is crap, dont have a computer (just around a cousins place) and no car yet.

Poor service, how so? it was only a 45 minute flight, what kind of service were you expecting?

the line up to get served to check in was bad, there was only 2 checkin booths the line was nearly out of the door, the tiger termanal was separate from the other termanal, the rude lady that served me cuz i had over the 15kilo limit wtf is the difference from having it in ur suite case than in the above compartments in the plane? the plane will still weigh the same.. i had no problem adelaide to melb and the staff were much nicer!!! and the flight was more like an hr and 10 cuz they took ages to take off becuase the plane was making crunching noises... NEVER AGAIN!

oh and not to mention the half hr wait at the carousel to pick up my luggage and then find out when i get home that its been tampered with,,, sorry not good enough!

I hate it when they never have enough staff on, when i went to Sydney with the girls we were waiting quite a while, and then on the way back Syd-Adel the line up was huge!!


Well.. they have those rules for reasons.. and why did you have 15Kg worth of clothes with you to go to Melb? Your supposed to buy clothes over there and then bring them back! Even when i went there with my mum and we shopped for 3 day's straight spending over $3000 on clothes (after she'd come back from thailand as well) none of us went over the weight limit!


Did you lock your suitcase? how did they tamper with it? you should always check before picking your stuff up from the carousel and if it as been tampered with tell someone before picking it up.

it wasnt all clothes i had a seprate cosmetic bag and it went over by 3kilos... i didnt even do much shopping.. infact not even $200 worth i just had to carry some of my stuff in a green bag and take my cosmetic bag with me on the plane.. i didnt have time to lock it cuz i had to unpack things and thought things would be ok and the one time i dont lock it this happens to me! i felt rushed and under pressure. you shouldnt feel the need to feel like that, and the fact the lady that was serving me was giving me a look and huffing and puffing cuz i was taking so long

*sigh* its ok they will be getting a letter from me and photos of the damage they have caused

...very pleased the training course wasn't what I expected. I actually learnt something and the content was quite informative! The presenter was good to which helps!

...if your not working anymore probably best to relax as much as you can during the day.. if you do that then i don't think being nocturnal will matter to much!?!

I tried that yesterday, tried to sleep as much as I could. But my body is still used to working, so it's still used to sleeping at night.

I can't sleep solidly during the day, can only sleep for 2 hours at a time

And unfortunately banks and shops aren't open at 3 am lol.
