We're going to the full moon party
in Thailand on Saturday October 7
A 11 day holiday with beaches, partying, shopping and good times!

STEP 1: WHAT TO DO

Tuesday October 3rd is the departure date... because there is going to be an Arkaba anthems on the long weekend Sunday October 1

Tue.03.Oct - Day 01: Flight to Singapore, then flight to Ko Samui, ferry to Ko Pangyan.
Wed.04.Oct - Day 02: Arrive 4 days before full moon party.. trust me this is just enough time!
Thu.05.Oct - Day 03: Party our assess off
Fri.06.Oct - Day 04: Party our assess off
Sat.07.Oct - Day 05: Party our assess off Full Moon Party
Sun.08.Oct - Day 06: Cool off and recover or hit 'Backyard Party'
Mon.09.Oct - Day 07: Leave Koh Pangyan and arrive Bangkok...
Tue.10.Oct - Day 08: SHOP SHOP SHOP
Wed.11.Oct - Day 09: SHOP SHOP SHOP
Thu.12.Oct - Day 10: Flight Home via Signapore!
Fri.13.Oct - Day 11: Arrive home at 7am!

Total Budget around $2200 plus pre-flight!

Qantas Flight $1150
Other Flights $250
Accommodation $300
Other Transport $100
Food and Drinks $400

Approximate Total $2200

STEP 2: Pre-flight

You'll need these before you leave, with the passport being the most obvious! The rest will just need to be sorted before you leave... so no stress!

1. Passport $192 Standard (32 pages) - www.passports.gov.au
2. Travel Insurance: $70 single or $130 for a couple ($65 each) - www.1cover.com.au
3. Vacinations ~$75~unsure - http://www.tmvc.com.au/

STEP 3: Initial Flight

Get online and purchase with you CC for only $1145 from qantas.com.au! Need to purchase this as soon as possible because the price will go up when the cheap seats are gone!

Adelaide to Singapore - Tuesday October 3 >> QF81
13:00 -> 18:50 QF81 7h 20m

Singapore to Adelaide - Thursday October 12 >> QF82
22:15 -> 06:40 (Fri) QF82 6h 55m

STEP 4: Before You Go!

Most you'll need is another $500 to party hard above the $2200 estimation above... plus any shopping money if you want to got on a spree! We'll need to purcase the reminder of the flights before we leave which will be another $250ish maybe 6 weeks before we go... to ensure weget what we want at a decent price!!

STEP 5: FINALLY

hmmmm, interesting!!!! my friend Sara and I are loosely plannning a trip to Vietnam around the end of the year....maybe we could alter our plans slightly.....

will chat to her on the weekend, and let you know...but if we did do it we'd probably opt for as late in the year as possible

Well, I have a good job now and I promised myself I'd do a little travelling after school was all done and over with, so perhaps this isn't such a pipe dream for me afterall. I've also never left this country, and it's about time I look beyond what's been around me my entire life.

so perhaps later this year if i start saving right now...

certainly looks like a good time.

going camping in minnesota this weekend for canada day. place called red lake falls. lots of people go there to party, camp, drink and go tubing down the river/falls while drinking!!

wouldnt mind going to the full moon party someday....someday.

maybe once im working for flight centre ill be able to get myself an even better deal.

Anyway I just ran all the numbers for expenses now and for travel, stay, food/etc and it all works out (I lost my job thursday so I dont have stable source of income atm) so I booked.

Im waiting for fullm00n to get home so he can be a witness that im as dodgy as I claim Iam then I can send off for my application for passport.

Was looking at the list of places on the beach and it looks awesome, each seems to have different styles of music.

i laugh land the first time i was coming back from thailand the dude in front of my in the line had this carry on laguage packed full of SINGHA beer... As he 'clinked' to the counter...

Haha, doesn't surprise me. Singha is definetely my beer of preference over there

Tiger is not bad though. I hate having spirits with coke though. Since over there, EVERYTHING is half flat (not fizzy). This makes beers go down much easier, but by the time you dilute coke with a spirit there's practically no fizz left and i tastes pretty average. For this reason i will once again drink beeraplenty.

Last time I was there, one of my favourite experiences was taking the Singha from the minibar, drinking it for the next 4 minutes while i walk downstairs to the deli. Buy another one, walk the next stretch to the next deli and buy another just as I finish the previous one. Walking around the block gets to be quite messy!

Important Lesson: Buy 2 singhas for the last stretch home so you can drink one, and replace the one you started with from the minibar!

A much easier method may be to buy a carton and just drink em all at the hotel, but my way was far more interesting!

Went to doctor today and asked him about vaccinations, he said he's been over to Thailand a couple of times and said the possability of catching anything is remote. So I suppose its up to you if you get them all or not.

Also sent away for my passport today, im told it should be 10 days but its possible it'll be quicker.

Now I just need to save all my remaining money and get another job
