heavens NOTHING like it was 5 years ago - very stuck up crowd, alll about looking good and posing... but, round 4 oclock most of em are gone, and the pillpoppers are left, and the good music starts... aint too bad.. i think consistant is the word..

I would agree with you there slide. I remember the last time i was there and i remember what the hell am i doing here but come around 3 ish it started to beef up and the crowd seemed to get laid back. Anyways heaven is always a good bet for a good time

Myself? maybe a party at a mates place tonight, but being as i work saturday's i think i'll continue my pursuit for more bass and better sound quality from the two car stereo setups i have laying around.

I'm working pretty much all weekend through to next weekend. But I made up for it by going out Monday night to Recharge, Thursday to Mojo's and Chem; and last night to Tonic (crap), Isobar (crap) and was supposed to go to Cargo but nobody wanted to go.

Working sucks. Thats all I seem to be doing at this bloody moment and every weekend to go with it. Working my ass off and then pulling a sicky when anthems comes along. I haven't been able to put in very much input lately coz I've been far too busy. So far have worked 4 days straight with another 9 to go. Then 2 days off and 7 on again; and all night shifts to boot. There's my rant.

friday it is! should of been saturday if they want to pack the place. fridays tend to struggle to pull large crowds in adelaide nowadays.

I agree TCB they shoulda made it a sat night for UNITY as you're right town is usually pretty dead on a friday night, but being ULTRA SONIC, DYEWITNESS and PROTEUS I'd say town will be dead but Earth will be pumping reasonably hard!
Not that it matters as I'll be going hard with or without half of Adelaide! Ha Ha!

Couldn't agree more - I've been doing the Heaven/Rise thing a lot lately...maybe a little too much. I find the music at heaven a tad crap until around 3am when Souli starts his set.

Ive never been to the city clubbing on a Friday night but mates say it's not too dead but has nothing on Saturday night antics. I usaully work EVERY sat, except this one coming so i too am going to crank hard with the missus all night long, and then back to my place for recovery/mixing.

Ultra Sonic are the BOMB!!!!!!!!
Was a little dissapointed they didn't really play their oldest known tracks except at the end when they played Annihilating Rhythm!
They were still "DA WICK" though!!!!!!!

Didn't see much of Proteus and Dyewitness weren't to bad, but by 5am I wasn't really paying that much attention!!!!

All round though it was a Killa/Crankin night and I danced my arse off!!!!!

just great, sounds like i missed one of the best nites of the yr with Unity happening, of course i have to end up being ill just as the nite comes up!
Normally i'd take my usual weekend medication to make me feel better, but this time i think i need the stuff doctors prescribe..

Ultrasonic were awesome as usaul but i was hoping for more old school tracks. Fuck me they can get the place jumping like they always do.

Got way too hot for me and the missus about 3:30 so we went to the car only to find out we couldn't get back in.

All in all though we had a great night.

ok if any of you are heading into to town this sat night and are looking for something to do come to the balcony bar at the casino. i will be bringing in my technics for a special one night mix up with the resident DJ Ali B. we have a good mackie system there and have just upgraded the lighting rig to make the place more like a nightclub. its looking good.

i will be there from 10pm-4am but mostly playing just after 12 and between 2-4:30am. i will most likely be cranking out quite a few oldschool tunes. the dance floor goes off so come down and have some fun!

Yes very disappointing about the line up thing, we were waiting upstairs for Proteus but coudln't wait for the toilet any longer so we went downstairs and couldn't get back up, consequently we missed Proteus so we left and headed home for recovery.

Yeh, I had a great night @ HQ on Saturday. The music in main room was bit bit average but the other room was excellent, spent most of the night there
they had bongos and drums playing to rave music this was awesome.

only bummer was had to que up for about an hour to get in, think the turnout
was underestimated, the place was packed!!

I will be at Tanunda for the promotional start to Toyota Rally of SA on Friday night.

Then I will be at Mt Pleasant service park all day Saturday and Sunday supporting and servicing on our rally car!! YAY!! go girls...

today- finish work at noon head to the pub for lunch then rego the bike, massage later on
Sat- finish fixing a 4wd quad bike and most likely milk some cows
Sun- may go for a ride depending on weather
Mon- most likely family stuff

Friday - see two Irish girls off at the airport later in the evening
Saturday - work 7:30am til 4:30pm then home to catchup with a girlfriend for a night of dvd's, drinks and whatnot
Sunday - helping set things up for xmas anthems (if needed) then to my folks place to sleepover for the following day
Monday - xmas lunch with rellies, make a few phone calls to rellies overseas and call my lil brother in Japan, then to give manhugs and cuddles to all the people at anthems. Also have to make a mistletoe hat

at the grand tonight for chris' work function..

i reckon i may go to that anthems thing on monday.. we'll see
