Tidy Trax is a recording label, and I guess you could call it a type of "crew".

DJs and producers - the "Tidy stage" at Enchanted was part of the Tidy World tour.. they're off to New Zealand next as far as I know.

I was actually curious what CDs or mixes I should look into getting if I wanted some really thumping hard house?

I have no hard house on this computer, or in my possession.. and I'd love to get some of that repetitive 4x4 junk that makes me want to dance like a crazy man.

overdose15 Jan 2006, 1:41pm

The Ministry of Sound Hard NRG cd's aren't bad. I know they are Hard NRG cd's but there are some nice Hard House remixes on them such as Tainted Schall (Tainted Love remix) by Thomas Schumacher.

Got it on Remix Heaven cd

*smp*r6 Feb 2006, 9:55pm

I'm always partial to the original version of songs than their (usually) insipid remixes....and the Michelle Gayle version is oldskool as well so it gets my vote!!!!
The actual original of this track is actually a very nice slow track by Miss Gayle, and its really nice too, but not a dance track at all....

overdoser6 Feb 2006, 10:07pm

Yeah, just like "Fast Car" but the new remix is sweet, tis in my playlist too. I like it.

Plus I got Angel City - Do You Know (I Go Crazy) (Phunk Investigation Club Mix) on the Ministry of Sound Bigtunes cd so that's why I have it on here too, just to have the unmixed one.

By the way, I think Do You Know (I Go Crazy) was originally sung by Robert Miles (says it on the Remix Heaven cd)

*smp*r6 Feb 2006, 10:15pm

I cannot confirm or deny the Robert Miles connection....I just know the Michelle Gaye song was around when I was a wee lass - circa 1994-6 sometime....memory is a bit hazy from that time

and I seriously think the slow version sung by her must be the original.... its bordering on a country love ballad, the version I have here.

overdoser6 Feb 2006, 10:23pm

hmm.. in the cd inset it has:

(Shep Solomon / Michelle Gayle / Roberto Concina)

Vocals by Lara McAllen.
Backing Vocals by Sylvia Mason James.
Contains a sample of "Do You Know", Written by Shep Solomon & Michelle Gayle.
Contains a sample of "Children", Written by Roberto Concina.

So I'm not sure why it has "original by Robert Miles" on the back

*smp*r6 Feb 2006, 10:28pm

'Children' was a track by Robert Miles...a damn fine one at that too

Dutch hardcore, Neighbourhood Crime
Gabba, I Got What You Need

you'll notice both styles are similar in they both use the same samples same clap, kick, synth even down to the hats but some varying factors like speed, and gabba tends to have an sincopated half beat where as dutch hard tends to just have to 1, 2, 3, 4 where as gabba will have a 1+2+3+4+ then again there's the tracks that don't wanna fit in any catagory i'm kinda lost am i in the ball park emma lol

it's a solo track by MC pressure. if you've ever had a time in your life that seems to have been holding you down then this track is the solution. If something is fucked up in your life, do something about it, why go through life unhappy?...

If you don't have their last album 'the calling' i highly recommend you buy it, and for those askin about when their new shit is going to drop the release date has been confirmed as the 31st of march, start pre-booking. their first adelaide show is on the 1st of april - this is not a joke, check their site. in 5 days it was half sold out, if your wanna go you'll need to be very quick. i've personally heard 4 of the tracks from their upcoming album 'the hard road' which is about to be mastered and they are very dope.

philbertr18 Mar 2006, 9:40pm

awww thanks guys

, to add to the insanity that is my taste in music this is the play list i just hooked up:

Yes, the names of the following tracks are hyperlinks to a web server i run from home that has all my club mp3's on it....

1. DJ Jan - X-Santo (Transa Remix) - a.k.a. the rubber band song...

2. Mat Silver - Sunshine (Fridge Mix)

3. Blue Amazon - Coming Home (Transa Remix)

4. Tony De Vit - I Don't Care - yes i played this before but it fucking ROCKS!!!!

Glad you like my pic, fuck all these stand there and pull a cheesey smile shot's.

Number 1, 2 and 3 are from this list are from an album release called Gate Crasher - Discotech - yes that was a hyper-link - It was prescribed to me by PeAkE - who, for the record is a fuggin legend - and was THE album that got me in to electronic musics. To this day i still rate it as one of the best compilation albums ever made. Download it people and let your minds run free for you are only constrained by your own thoughts, it's time to let go...

fuck it, i'm listening to that again!
