Can we please keep this on topic. If you have nothing to say that is relevant then please don't reply. And NO, saying that you're a Gemini by starsign is NOT relevant. Thank you!

It's a good sight coz you can search for specifics.. reduce the amount so it only pulls up the less expensive ones.. etc.. i love that site! biggrin.gif

also there is.... www.carpoint.com.au.
but i don't think it's as comprahensive.

Yer, I know all the sites....I spent a good 3 weeks going through them when Ace bought his skyline lol...

So I'm going to let him go through them with me...

i personally use autotrader.com.au most.
That and local notice boards are pretty much the only places i check.

I'm looking for a car right now, just something to get me from a to b, a van or wagon preferably for less than $800. Haha!

I'm not holding my breath.

I've always had a thing for Gemini wagons but... If you stumble across one of them for under $1500, get back to me and I'll see if the olds have some spare dough.

Get a Datsun. Easier to get parts for and a hell alot more better then a gemmy in my books and you can work them like theres no tomorow hahahahaha. Ive seen a few gemmys but they want waaaaaaaaaay to much for them

Good advice harley.
I was going to say pretty much the same thing steer away from gemini's. You might like the look of them but the motors aren't the best in the world ( cheap alloy corodes easily like camira's)
A Better more reliable choice would be to go for either a datsun/ nissan or a toyota. Somethng like a corolla are cheap and they just keep going and going strong little motors and last time we put a 2nd hand motor in my brothers car think we got it for like 25 bux ( carton of beer ) haha.

So if the motors are so good then why did you have to put one in your brothers car? Replacement? Or did he just buy a shell...?

I like the look of the T series Geminis, and I just need a small first car...I don't need it to last me forever. Just something I can learn in, drive around in for a while and put a few dings in.
Harley
Get a diesel gemmy. Thre abit costly but they will go forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and will be dirt cheap to run. Only thing tho they are slow but aint all gemmys?

Cos my brother bought the car cheap with a stuffed eg worn out motor and i used to be a mechanic so he got another motor and i put it in for him. They are good little motors. We have built some pretty hot ones and they go well and are strong, cheap, and reliable. I also used to strip and build motors at rising sun imports a few years ago so i got to see a lot of the insides of motors, their problems and comon faults. These motors usually went until they wore out hardly ever die prematurely unless you run them out of water or oil. corolla's are cheap and parts are a plenty at wreckers. I persoanlly have owned a few good little comuters. hope this helps smile.gif
