Howdy guys. Last Friday night i was a guest at one of the club nights Australia wide that i have the most respect for, Bass Australia (previously Bass Station) at the Palace Nightclub in St Kilda, Melbourne.
I recorded my set at a few peoples request and have upped it for anyone that wishes to download it.
The MD i took with me must of been a bit dodgy, for some reason the levels change a little randomly throughout the mix, which i have fixed the best i can by normalizing the file and there are 2 points where it cuts out very momentarily.
Just a quick note, so people do not rehash it over and over, i am aware I slightly messed up the mix into both Satellite and Shivers. I decided to play to these tracks instead of what i had planned within the last 2 minutes of the previous song, so with that in mind, I am not to concerned with them. The average clubber would not pick it up what-so-ever, but the tuned ears of us DJs and ravers will. The rest of the mix is very smooth.
The tracklist:
Above and Beyond - Good for me
Above and Beyond - Cant Sleep
Tranquility Base - Surrender
Above and Beyond - Tri State (Robert Nickson Remix)
Mike Foyle - Shipwrecked
Oceanlab - satellite
Marco V - I feel you
Armin Van Buuren - Shivers (Alex Morph remix)
Ronski Speed - drowning sunlight
Frank Savio - Central State (Maori Remix)
Pretty much sums up the type of trance i love and that people can expect me to play within the trance genre, "club trance" and vocal trance. As always i was singing till my throat hurt, jumping around like a fool (hence the skip in i feel you) and playing the trance records i like.
I ripped it off my MD and have uploaded it onto a server at both 192kbps and 128kbps, but in reality for an extra 20mb you are well worth getting the bigger file.
As always, right click, save target as
Andrew Howlett Live at Bass Australia Link
Massive thanks to Mr S for getting my record in as soon as possible so i could play it interstate, and to Phunkii for the loan of the Marco V record. Also massive thanks to those who have really shown their support to my trance selection over the last few months with both my part time FreshFM radio show and my sets around the place. In particular Slide, Phunkii, AndyM, Steve Hill, Dave Joy, PaulHamon, Davin, Kezza, Minky, Danny, tactic, Devious, Matty P, Bri, DJHusband, SMP, Techno Bunny and my parents.
The club have invited me to return in about 2 months so there will be another mix uploaded sometime around May.
Enjoy
