yeah just piecing together a showreel to try n bust into the VFX industry. doing a design masters in digital media next year if i do well enough at (my second chance at) third year design/architecture this year.

will try n post small bits of our project from last year when i put them into flash

here's a draft animation of the rockets for my character in the uni project. it was rendered ages ago so the texturing hasn't been finished

(sorry bout the quality its compressed to hell to keep filesize small)

what do you use to render? and what app did you use to build it?

i love it but needs texture and highlights

cris, modelled in 3ds max, going to be rendered using mental ray, just working on the texture maps at the mo.

the bottom 2 are just rendered in 3ds max using basic light trace lighting and a skylight.

trying to get a hold of zbrush for texturing.... but pretty damn broke, so that will have to wait.

i'm workin on a way to link the rigged model to some scripted variables so it can be synched with music through the eq settings.. if that makes sense.

basically i want to be able to script a few basic animations so they can be used say as a winamp visualiser... or maybe even... rave visuuals...

anyone able to point me to a good resource for that stuff? cheers!

the intro for our uni group project ont he renmark riverfront... and yeah, i never got around to modelling the full boat trailer so it looks strange. My lecturer thought i should spend more time on the assignment and less on the boat animation.. but he's past it and is gonna die of old age soon so meh.

okay... venting time again.

was in a bit of a sooky mood so i drew these between the hours of 1 and 4 am this morning. just picked up the new graphics tablet and let flow whatever came to mind.

here are 3, there are a whole heap more... sometimes its easier to draw than to talk... really needed to shift some major weight off my chest before enchanted.
