Just to inform everyone that the "Classic Adelaide Rally" starts on Wednesday 15th November and finishes on Sunday 19th November.
This year unfortunately I won't be driving, but will be co-driving in a Mitsubishi 380, and Mettina will be in a 380 also.

I will be found in "PR1" which is there to help with Public Relations for competitiors, whilst Mettina will be in "SET UP C" which helps to set up the course before competition starts.

For more information go **HERE**

great to know you guys are involved in it - classic adelaide is known to be one of the best road races around and it must be very exciting to be a part of it. and i guess it's not a bad thing to be in someone elses car too smile.gif

This will be both of our 3rd years involved with the event.

Mettina did setup the first year, co-drove for me last year, and set up again this year

I have driven my EVO 2 as a course car the first 2 years, but this year I am co-driving in the PR car for a change.

It is a great event to be involved in, and they are always looking for volunteer officials. There are so many areas for volunteering, from admin, to radio, to road closures etc. If you want to do something to help the event, and you do get all relevant training and receive a hat, badge and dinner for your efforts, you can register online from the post above or ring "Silverstone Events" for more information.

OK..
well I went to my training meeting last night and it looks like my ride and position is way better than I had thought!! tongue.gif

PR1 is not doing the public relations thing like I mentioned above, but actually running the course at near rally speed with a group know as the thoroughbreds. I believe Mitsubishi have numerous evolution lancers in this group which we will be leading off.

In my role, I will be co-driving in this car and as we are running at near competition speed, we must wear helmets in the vehicle. I am lead to belive that we may even be in an EVOLUTION IX which is way better than a 380 as expected. biggrin.gif

I will keep you all informed...

Mettina will still be in SET UP C as mentioned above, so anyone who is out nice and early may get to see her running around.

OK Everyone... My role in the 'Classic Adelaide Rally' has changed. I am no longer in PR1 which is amongst the thoroughbred section.

I am now in "NOTICE" car which follows the competition cars and issues stop vehicle notices to those who has stopped in stage. This means we are travelling right along side the full blown competition boys!! biggrin.gif

I will be co-driving in this car which is a Blue Mitsubishi 380 VRX..

Hope to see some of you out there!! tongue.gif

Any chance somebody will be taking photos? I saw an old school Lamborghini Countach in the Scrutineering stands yesterday and it was bloody beautiful as well as an Aston Martin DB7.

Watched the rally today from sarah's mum's farm on the parris creek road we were at the farm sitting in the front padock under the sahde of a sun shade. They set up a chicane out on the straight in front of the farm so we got to see some truely wicked cars fly at speed round a corner, fly down the straight for the chicane and then boot it off. Was a great day indeed. Thanks sarah biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Sweet, I am glad you guys made it out to watch!!

Well I had a great time, heaps busy the whole time, as I had to stop at any vehicle which had stopped in stage due to accident or break down. You guys would have seen me come flying through in the blue 380 with 'Notice Car' on the side. We were directly behind the last competition car with only a Evo9 Ralliart car infront of us..
