I too thought it was a festival of cheese in the audible form, but the edible form is awesome too. Bung it together with a plate of other gourmet goodies and a top-notch wine and you're sorted for a real treat!

you are behind the times, the val got sold months ago - we'd offer lifts but the vitara is too small for a trip that long for more than two people, possibly 3 at the most! It's a toy car!

hope they have kalamata olives to go with the cheese this SUNDAY

If your heading to McLaren Vale on Sunday, you should venture a little further and see Mettina in action in the Kuitpo Rally.

a good idea but me thinks with all this wine and cheese we will be in no fit state to be let loose in Kuitpo with fast cars rushing by!!

We are still keen to go, have to help the parents shift some stuff in the morning but are keen to head up in the afternoon.

That sounds like an awesome idea... I'll see how i go... i'm driving and ben's drinking, so i guess it's up to him and how drunk he gets!

But seeing Mettina in action would definatly make my day!

we better work out a time to roughly be there!

jase... pls... stop talking oysters.. i got 9 doz in the freezer.. plus another 7 doz osyter meat ( shelled and cooked already, ready to be marinated in whistoshire and chilli, then skewered with bacon and bbq'd) plust another 8 doz smoked and in oil in the fridge....

Had a great time! Had the hayfever under control, and the weather was gorgeous. Didn't drink any wine, but i got into the cheeses! Great day!!

PS: stay away from Smoked Buffalo Cheese YUCK!!!

with a hint of kero! I was tryin to be the polite person i am, scrunched my face and commented to the lady about the "interesting flavour" only to be overshadowed by someone yelling out, "Oh god thats disgusiting" the biggest laugh i had all day!

I enjoyed spending some quality time with u all... Cheers for the company guys!

Yeah - big to everyone who didn't make the effort to go down, you missed out!!! It was more than worth the drive & the expense.... I think I have about $70 worth of cheese in my fridge to get though
