Ravers generally are a friendly bunch, but RA is a mixture of those same friendly ravers, jaded grumpy asses, arrogant DJs, nerds behind keyboards finally with a way of abusing someone without the fear of physical retaliation, and some people who will never be ravers and just don't get what it's all about.

I am currently holding a great deal of animosity towards my right foot and its strained tendons. Whenever it feels better, i go out, and then spend the next few weeks recovering. Gabby you asked about set times. The abuse you copped wasn't really all that directed at you... you need to keep in mind that in every event thread (well most of them anyway) several people ask for set times.

How about making a thread on RA dedicated to set times, or at least a thread/memo explaining why it is you cant give set times, and then directing peope that ask for them to it.... wouldnt that make life that little bit easier? Both for membners looking for set times, and for those who know them and are oh so sick of having to answer that question. I can see how it can be so daunting....

I called her today to ask her if i could use it becuase mine is doing stupid thing and doesnt work right and she is telling me she has to go get my phone that he borrowed fixed now.. cause it's not working right
I told her when she first borrowed it and many times since to keep it in the case (never had a problem with it when it was in the case new scratched or anything looke like new) but she hasnt and I am so not happy

it sucks shooter but smp is right, karma always gets these fuckers... and the more decent people he hurts in the process the worse he will suffer... doesn't help the situation now though I know.. all you can do is be supportive when things turn to crap for those you care about and smear campaign the hell out of this bad person... maybe his karma is in the form of the wrath of shooter??!!

After the way this POS has been living his life, he is a BAD PERSON and Karma doesn't seem to do anything to him...ever. He makes himself out to be too pathetic that nobody does anything about him. I think that is going to change.
karma doesn't need any help...all in good time, and the longer it takes the more bad karma gets stored up and the repercussions are obviously much worse....quite satisfying to sit back and watch really.

I know enough about the situation from SS, but my stance will always be to let the universe sort them out (which it always does in the end) because if you take things into your own hands then you become the bad person....but you do have to do whatever you can to protect those you love from hurting themselves, but that is also out of your hands in the end....sometimes the best way to learn is by getting burnt unfortunately
This person sounds a lot like Adam (my ex), so I know exactly where SS is coming from and all I can say is their continual pattern of stupidity will expose them soon enough, and they'll find people aren't as stupid, or as forgiving, as they like to think

that's true.. hardest thing to do ever is sit back and watch someone you care about get hurt though... no wonder shooter's frustrated... taking these things into your own hands is rarely a good idea, and I'm the queen of sitting back and letting these POS's get their own via karma so would never go out to destroy someone no matter how wrong or horrible they are.... still SS, you can help this person fail themselves by being extra supportive when things fall apart and biting your tongue, makes you the good guy and better person. The best revenge is always the revenge people wreak upon themselves for their own bad behaviour.

hang in there mate... one day it will get him, always does, and the fact is that there is no benefit in you doing anything to him... then you'll just be the bad guy and he'll get away with it yet again, citing himself as the victim and you as the reason his life is so horrid. Fact is, people like this never take responsibility for themselves so you doing anything to him is only another "poor me" excuse for him to use to hurt someone else further down the track.... don't perpetuate the cycle of his bad behaviour by seeking revenge, it's what he wants as an excuse for his next victim.
i agree with smp re: karma but i in no way condone sitting back and waiting for it all to happen. i'm not saying you should be active toward this person directly as negative actions begat negative results - the best offense is a good defence. i can only ever say what i would do in that situation as i never like to tell other people what to do as what i say is relative to me but what i'd do is to protect all those that i could. if i saw this guy sleezin it i'd try and get to those he was talking to, inform them of the truth and tell them to be carefull. i realise you can't be there all the time to do it but while you are around there is shit that can be done. after a while those people you have helped will begin to help others, word will spread and this wank stain will face the full brunt of his actions as karma comes back to haunt him. some people can't/won't ever change - hell it's futile to think that you can 'change' a person but you can influence them, even if not directly... do good things and look out for other people and others will look out for you. sometimes you have to cut people out of your life which can be pretty hard but you've gotta do what's needed to make yourself happy...

I know how you feel shooter, similar (though different), thing happened to me. The one I cared about listened to the lies and manipulation, I fought back and pointed out everything that was going on to have the "one" throw it back in my face as if it was me being the POS. From being in a similar position to you I can suggest 2 things. 1st being - listen to what Mich has said! 2nd being - Pick up that baseball bat, and deal with the consequences after. Be prepared for the fact that you will be confirming this POS for what he is saying he is. At least you will feel better…. For a few seconds.

But, i went on a great journey, and once everything had cooled off, the ones who were worth it, i ended up being friends with them again. Try to keep an open heart. Karma removes from your life that which you do not need. Maybe you need to be around some different people, or in a new scenario
