I would love to go to the Royal Adelaide Show this year dressed in rave wear and i would love it if a heap of anthemites could join me

if people want to do seperate things at different times thats fine, but it would bring a huge smaile to my face bumping into a whole lot of people in gators and phatties

Gabbie and I once went to the show dressed as Mario and Princess Peach. It was hilarious! Definitely up for raving it up at the Show for a day! I'll just have to make sure I don't lose my gators while on all the crazy rides!

I work 6 days anyway, meaning the only day I could go without taking the day off would be a Sunday, but I'd rather go during the week and just take the day off

I simply couldn't warrant taking a full day off for the show. I'm only casual, and I have rent to pay.

Oh well, just may mean i can't go with you guys if you decide to go on a weekday... I could always meet up with you after work tho...

I havent been to the Show for ages. I'm not a ride freak so I like the tamer stuff like seeing the doggies and the kitties, playing video games, buying showbags with lotsa lollies in them, riding the ferris wheel and hocking-a-lugie from the top.; and attempting to win one of those really big toys so I can punch it and play wrestling with it.

and had time to get many showbags and see some shows etc!

As much as I love getting dressed in rave wear... I wouldnt really want to go to the show dressed that way. Although its fitting for something like the show... I'm withe Emma on this one. Theres some people I wouldnt want to run in to while dressed in phatties and kandi .

OMG! I looovvveee the show and go crazy on the rides! I'm so there! Last year i went with a friend of mine on the unlimited ride day! i paid $50, and was so pumped to go on rides all day! Obviously being the unlimited day there was huge line ups for all the rides!
But that wasn't the worst of it for me! My friend who was going on about going on all the rides, shit loads of times each, Yeah well we managed to go on 3 rides! before she threw up everywhere!!!!!! So needles to say my money was wasted because i had to take her home!!! GGGRRRRR, what a waste of money!
So this time i will be making sure i go with a person or people who can handle all of them!
I was spewing coz i didn't even get to try the new one (can't remember the name) but fuk it looked mad!

yep... if you go on the bus you can buy your show tickets at the same time as your bus fare.

i'm not sure where else you can buy tickets.. i think it's only at the gate otherwise.

I just realised if I went to the Show all I'd be doing is grandpa things. Look at the animals, look at the exhibits, watch the cooking things, sit and eat, look at the girls, watch for money (or spit falling from above), maybe buy a showbag or four, play some videogames, win some prizes from the sideshows (hopefully), complain about the cost of the food and drinks, complain that my legs are too sore and just generally a lot of complaining

i guess it might be hard trying to do all the things everyone wants to do in a big group, so please to everyone else attending this year dress up and be proud to be a raver, i know i am

Well.. Matt and I will definately be there... but rave wear is not going to happen! it's gonna be way to cold, and knowing my luck it'll rain, so i don't want to have the bottom of my jeans soaking up all the rain puddles!

it's skinny jeans and sneakers for me! and probably 5 layers of tops!

yeah ive been watching the weather and it says 16-17 with showers saturday and sunday... we are definately going on the saturday and cant wait!!! prob get there fairly early too but not sure if we'll wear rave gear... i wont be going on rides (yeah yeah i know im a piker!) but i'll be the one holding everyones stuff and taking the pics hehe... so cant wait i've already picked out showbags!!

Fark.....

But as Banjo says.... Miss it and you'll have to wait a whole year..." and even then.. some of tge stuff here this year is not guaranteed to be returnin!!! so you'd betta be there!!!

Just a word of warning... Extreme Speed $15!! waste of money if you ask me! But i can't tell you what the ride's like coz i refuse to pay that much.. ask NokturnL or Ike they were silly enough to fork over that much.

Oh and MegaMix.... bad!! had a pressure headache for like 2hrs after.... i think maybe i'm just to old for it!

I spent $120 without batting an eyelid... but I bought a whole heap of crap... and I was only there for, um... about 3 hours :blush:

dont know how much i spent.. it was definatly under $100 for the first time in ages, probly coz i didnt get any showgabs and only got to go on one ride WITH DAANA

Falling out of rides and having them throw me off due to poor maintenance doesn't sound all too appealing.

Hell, the only thing I saw in the main arena was the fireworks, which cut short after wind blew one over and it exploded on the grass

it didn't take you from one end to other.... it did a full trip there and back, so you get off where you get on.

I loved the skyride. It was awesome to go on at night and just look around the whole showgrounds, including what was happening main arena.
