Heaven Nightclub To Re-open Under A New Name

This topic isn't for the people who care or don't care about Heaven re-opening, but in today's Advertiser, on Page 4 there is an article containing the fact that Heaven Nightclub will be re-opening next year under a new owner, and will now be called HQ (HeadQuarters). Should be interesting to see what they have done to the place!

Did anyone else see MC Tim in The Advertiser yesterday??? Sitting at the airport during the terror scare?

Could be sooner then next year, they had plans for Planet and somewhere else to be turned into offices and they mentioned those as next year, HQ may be sooner.

Pretty much, the more commercial ones being Church and Red Square.

The place is owned by a consortium of people; the main one being the owner of the Rosemont. As far as I know (from a very very reliable source) it could be opening as soon as late August this year. So far the concept is going to be like the old Heaven but changed a bit more.

Wednesdays will be called Flashdance (aka Timewarp).
Thursdays are Thursday Thirties or Flirty Thirties (name not yet confirmed) - a 90's night.
Fridays are going to be like Chemistry and they're looking at trialling a d&b room (name not confirmed).
Saturdays will be called HQ where it'll be like the old Clubland - they're still unsure of the whole rnb room thing as they want to keep the dregs and homie G's out of the place.

Not definite on the line-up but we'll be seeing a few familiar faces in the industry. I can so far confirm only a few familiar faces.

Hows this? The guy who owns the carpark wont part with it and still intends on trying to open a superclub in that warehouse area. So that means no employee parking and no discount parking. i reckon he'll be trying to charge thru the roof for parking.

Heaven is where we all went until we discovered there were far better places to go

....and now that I know of said better places to go you won't be seeing me at HQ...

Yep I heard August too. All the jobs were advertised on the weekend and it said that positions were to start first week of August.

Its going to be one of those things, you just have to go to check it out!
I like the idea of the chemistry style night on a friday night... bring it on!

Due to M Lesters representatives joining the rave scene im advising you that the following is not advise and what you do is up to you. My comments are based on what i have seen on Today Tonight, and what i have been told by Consumer Affairs...

Well, If you get a ticket, screw it up and put it in the bin if you choose but its up to you because the owner aka DAMIEN LESTER is the guy who has been on Today Tonight operating as Adelaide City Fines. According to Consumer affairs he cannot legaly issue a fine.

I have gone to the extent of finding carparks around Adelaide owned by his company, and i park there purposely because (A) I get a good park; and ( If i get a fine i dont have to pay it

My reason is not because im a decietful deviate (thats just natural) Its because Mr Lester who obviously isnt short of coin, use to scab cigarettes off me all the time at a cafe i use to work in, and one day when i asked him to make my fine dissappear he said NO. So he can get fucked as far as im concerned. Cigarettes are expensive

So if you get a fine on your wiper with ADELAIDE CITY FINES PTY LTD as the title and a 25% discount offer in red on the bottom.... throw it in the bin if you choose!!!!!

I have edited this so what you do with your fine is up to you.

I must also admit, this recent development does excite me just a little. Afterall, my nightclubbing days began in that building a couple of years ago, and you never forget your first.

I'll probably go check it out, see what they've done with the space, but I can just feel it becoming like the old Heaven again...and with characters like this Mr. Lester in the vicinity, it's only a matter of time. That story with the cigarettes made me laugh.

the sooner heaven reopens after i get back the better. i dont care what people say i love the place.

i even had a bunch so asians try to beat me up but that wont stop me from coming back and hopefully this time they get rid of that bullshit.

I dont think i will bother with the new club... i'll be interested to see it in about 12 months time if its still going... All new clubs are great in the first few weeks, but the best clubs have a formula that works, and that needs to be proven.

the main one, anyone remember an old school legendary footballer by the name of Robran???? it's him and his missus...

they own the tap inn too, i think, and a few other places around adelaide.

from what i know the rosemont has bought it. the people involved are his sons. the main manager used to manager enigma.

hiring has started already and that are training soon.

either way they are doing it the same as old heaven which means old heavan crew which means more shooting, same ferals that beat up people and the same bikies pushing it out of adelaide.

somethings don't change even with a change of management. adelaides club scene is changing and people don't have the money to party again 4 or 5 days and there are other venues they have started going to.

good luck HQ i think they will need it to change the perspective of a lot of people in adelaide
