Wow ... I can't believe I finally made AND FINISHED my first State Event
The first Stage was frightening... all the nerves and anticipation to be let loose on a road where you had buckley's of driving where the wheels pointed!!
It was so slippery that even on the straights where I could bang it into forth I ended up fishtailing, braking traction and heading for the (quite pretty but) bloody huge trees
Stage 2 and my nerves had settled... i'd been warned that this stage may be slippery

so i knew what to expect
Now I know all you guys out there were probably doing handbrakies in your Rice Bubble Box Karts when you were 3... at that stage and unitil now all i knew how to do was fall off a bike... but YAY WOOHOO I pulled off my first handbrakie on Stage 2 at the Spectator Point...
I continued to practice these at every oppotunity and on one corner (well actually it was in a transport stage but nevermind about that i need all the practice i can get) I managed to do it twice without coming to a complete stop
As Leon mentioned we had a brief but sharp argument with a cattle grid on Stage 3. We were coming down this hill right on dusk and ahead was the 90deg left turn through the obstacle... by now around 38 (including course cars) had gone through there with speed and no doubt a bit of handbrake so it was just a bit on the boggy side

I actually turned into it ok but when i turned on the power to get out of there the back end twitched and caught the post... aahhhrrr my poor car
But that was the end of any incidents and the rest of the night went smoothly.
My results i'm feeling(as they aren't out yet) are total crap but the positive side to this is that I went into the rally with very little experience in my car, very little experience with how the car would react and also a bit bloody nervous!
Every stage I felt more confident and at the end I came out knowing now how well the car drive and believe me I will be pushing a f*%k load harder at ROSA.
I CAN'T WAIT
