Nah going to QLD in august for the WARMTH..............................
thats my next trip
why dont you post your flyer?
good idea.... lets see if i can manage to do it corectly!
STILLBUGGIN are back!If there’s one thing we can say about this year so far, it’s that oldskwl has well and truly been on the cards. With events like Eezyluv 2, Once Upon a Time and Anthem 4 showcasing a range of artists and music styles, the year exploded into an oldskwl revival not seen in recent times! Looking back we had DJ Jade play a special guest set at Eezyluv 2, international legend Cru-L-T at Once Upon a Time and the much-adored Southend at Anthem 4. Think this year can’t get any better?!
Well we can guarantee the rest of it is going to be no different. Stillbuggin’ are back to business with plans to re-tell the Sydney techno story. We’ll blow your brain back to the 90’s when the story was being written by legendary artists such as Shade, Abel, Paul Holden, Reaver and more! We’ll take you on a journey from page one and all the way through. So come along. After all…weren’t you part of the story?!
TECHNO BLUEPRINTThe Sydney scene has always had its own unique sound. Whether it be the element of grimey techno, stompy house, dark trance, erratic break-beat or uplifting nrg, there has always been a defining sound throughout Sydney parties.
And despite music and parties having changed, our memories of early rave days have still lingered. In a bid to re-create those experiences, the music and the vibe, Stillbuggin have gone back to the original plans - the blueprints for what made an awesome party back then…
MUSICIt’s always been about the music. So we’re showcasing artists who made their mark in the scene at the time (and still tear the place apart!). So in true oldskwl style, Stillbuggin’ present the musical architects re-drawing the plans for the night, including
TWO LIVE ACTS! Jade – Warming up the House
Reaver (live) – Chunky Choons
Shade – Techno Trip
Abel – Mixed Beans
E-tek (live) – Oldskwl Mashup
Paul Holden – Back to Break-beat
Omb v Kevmo – Morning Madness DJ Jade You've seen her before! You've given respect to the Queen at Anthem 4! Now pay tribute once again. Jade will be kicking off at 10pm with a great selection of tracks that'll warm your booties and put you in the house.
Reaver [LIVE] - www.stevereaver.comBack by popular demand! Enjoyed by everyone at the last Back To Unity in Nov 2006 we just had to have him work his magic once again. This time he'll be dishing out some Chunky Choons that'll leave you in stitches and if you remember the energy he belted out last time, you'll know what is coming. If you missed the last Back To Unity, you can find his set here.
DJ Shade - www.s-productions.com You can always count on Shade taking you on a rave back in time. He'll be mixing, cutting and scratching those old tunes like you've never heard before. If there's one record collection that should be in a museum, it would take two museum's to hold Shade's tracks.
DJ Abel El Toro - www.abeltoro.com Abel will be cooking up some mixed beans to soothe your hunger pains. He last played a wicked set at Once Upon A Time in June and he is bringing all his ingredients to the Bar Broadway kitchen. Take your mind back to the legendary events that Abel promoted such as Happy Valley, Midnight
Madness and Mixed Beans. Like most DJs today, Abel has moved into the world of production, remixing everyone from Southend to Nina Hagen. Collaborating with Sydney local spanish partner in crime DJ Jumping Jack, together they released “4 U 2 know” on Sony’s DJ beats Vol.2 & later the Amore” remixes.
E-Tek [LIVE] - http://www.myspace.com/eteklive DJ Random and DJ Christronic make up this dynamic duo. They were there at the beginning and now they're on the other side of the decks producing tracks with samples from tracks that go wayyyyyyyyyy back. They last hyped up the dance floor at Ignite in May with their current Hard Trance tunes, but this time they'll be dusting off the cob webs and dishing out some classics. Check out their label at
http://www.hardbeats.com.auDJ Paul Holden Paul Holden will be rocking the place as only he knows how! Paul has been DJ'ing since 1980 making that 27 years of experience. And of course he always pumps out the oldskool that we come to love and trust! We have Paul to thank for the good times at 'Stun' at the old Neo Pharaoh in The Hotel Nikko and if you were lucky enough to go to the Field of Dreams series of parties, you know that you don't want to miss Paul's set!
Paul is also an accomplished Producer, songwriter and remixer. His track 'Good Fun' showcased at Field of Dreams 4 in 1996 to a massive crowd and took them to another level!
DJ Kevmo + DJ Omb This will be one morning you wish would go on forever with StillBuggin's very own Kevmo and Omb blasting the morning sunshine with
anthems and rarities that'll leave you sky high long after the curtains have come down!
VENUEWe are pleased to announce that for this special event we have secured a perfect new venue. Bar Broadway located on the corner of Broadway & Regent St, Broadway is opposite UTS and 1 min from Central Train Station with plenty of on street parking. Check out the venue at www.barbroadway.com.au.
The in-house sound system will rattle your old bones and boasts an elevated stage so everyone can see the awesome LIVE acts we have in store for you. For those of you who can't handle the thumping bass and the trip down memory lane, there's plenty of plush and comfy seating around with a great view of the stage.
For this massive event, we have a dedicated team of sound and lighting engineers to make sure you’re pleased with every dancing step of the way, and they'll make sure that the only thing that skips is your heartbeat in time with those bouncing tunes, and not the needle on the record!
