I've been searching patiently for the past month to find an ideal CBR250RR for my first bike, and slowly but surely I'm realising that I need to follow more avenues to increase my chances of finding one .. so here I am making an appeal to all of you

If you know anyone selling one, or just know of a good place to look for privately sold bikes (apart from Just Bikes, the Trading Post, and BikePoint), I'm all ears, and would much appreciate the help.

Don't worry about specifics such as cost, year of manufacter, kms, etc .. I'll look at almost everything and anything just in case it's worth buying!

Feel free to flood my inbox with info, or post it here in the event it may help someone else out as well

My sister has a "RED" one- They go faster. With her not in the country (most likely not coming back for a long time), and me not having my bike licence. I'll ask her if she wants to sell it.

A girls bike would suit your Justin! I hope it has a basket on the front and streemers coming from the ends of the handle grips.

I can get you a 2005 CBR 600R same as this one ... http://www.metricbikes.com/05cbr.JPG

But you need 12k

Jutsin10 Apr 2006, 1:15pm

I'd much prefer to get an '02 R6 for much the same price instead

Or a CBR1000RR .. Fireblade pwns the 600!

ZX2R (little Ninja, basically) is much of a muchness to the CBR, except I like the way the CBR looks better than the ZX2R

He's already on the lookout thankfully!

Checking netrider now

Kessners on main north road have cbr250's last time i looked, but personally i think they charge too much...7k for a 250...shit ya pay an extra grand and ya got yourself a 750!...otherwise try bills in the city or main north road...also japanese motorcycle dismantlers always have 250's for sale.

Jutsin26 Apr 2006, 9:36am

For a decent CBR250RR the price to pay is 5-6k.

If you take your time and shop around you can get one for 5k, easily. 6k is just if you're lazy and want a good buy straight away.

The above is referring to private purchases.

Buying from a dealer, in my opinion, is completely retarded

they add about 1.5k onto the price. If you don't know what to look at when buying a used bike and need to be sure it's half-decent.. then spending the extra 1.5k may be a good trade-off, but if you or someone you know is cluey about what to inspect, save your money and buy private

My sis finaly got back to me about this. I'll send a PM about it later
