Depending what engine it has in it, the gearbox would cost anywhere from $100 to $250 for a manual 5spd.

The problem is swaping it over.. its the absolute most utter son of a bitch of a job.. I've done it twice in my old Celica (i didnt break the gearboxs i promise). Once all by myself and that took a weekend. and one with someone helping me which took a good long day.

I'm not sure if the model is a RA60 (rounderish one) or the RA65(square edged one). so the engine could either be a 18R (2L 4cyl), a 22R (2.4l 4cyl) or the 4m/5m-ge (which is 2.4/2.6 6cyl from memory).

If Jase could supply these details I can u more info on what gearbox your after.

If you do get this car running it will be a great run about.. they aint fast, the dont handle like a sports car, but the are easy to drive and will just keep going and going and going..

EDIT: I also wanted to let u know these Celica models are the most ugly models ever.. they came out when Japan was trying to do the whole "large square USA look".. which was a bad idea.

Heres a pic of the model i beleive it is.. Jase correct me if I'm wrong.

Graham, you are so right about that... the ST205 would be one of the best looking models (not that Im biased due to owing one previously). tongue.gif
