overdose
Anybody know of any decent DJ mixing software for mixing tracks together? Preferrably free or trial software to start off with so I can try it to see if I'd like to buy.

Cheers.

Traktor is a great tool, good beat detection software and scratching ability.

There's also PCDJ which is good too :)

I've used it before, and know a few others that have as well.

It's pretty damn decent, short of buying yourself actual decks and mixer, hah.

I recomend Traktor... but theres also a lot of other virtual DJ programes out there...

a very user friendly one is Atomix, but not much scratching abilities, but wikid with beat matching and other simple DJ tasks... can also record.

ATM I use one that is actually called Virtual DJ v3. This is the best i found so far but you need to get one of the professional skins for it to get all the extra effects and addons.
Balam
Try Plasma, thats pretty good when you can use it...!

I've got serato scratch and i've been playing every set i've played out this year straight from my laptop. you get to use vinyl but play all the tunes you have on your computer. my record collection has probably tripled in size due to being able to download and play whatever i want. if you've got the money and a laptop i don't think you can go past it, plus it's always funny to see the look on people's faces when you've got a laptop in front of you when you're playing. tongue.gif
