http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/ie7/ie7betaredirect.mspx

It is now available for general public download. I like it

Tabbed browsing and add-on handling like Firefox.

Pop up blocker, in built RSS reader, cleartype fonts, inbuilt search engine support, phishing filters, new look and feel, Microsoft word integration.

Much beter attempt. I may even be tempted to switch back from Firefox as my default browser ...

I think i might give IE7 a go.. just to see what sort of vision MS has for us... I doubt very much it will turn me from firefox tho.. I love it.

And thegood thing is, I need to do a compete system re-install anyway.. so IE can do its best at fucking up everything (its best quality) and i wont care biggrin.gif

I've been using it for a couple of days now. It is stable, and I quite like some of the features. In some ways it is better than Firefox. Its JVM is flaky, and has caused it to crash a couple of times, and there is something wrong with the way it renders XSLT extensions, but they seem the only problems.

I love firefox, but it has so many problems with sites that I visit (online banking, flash enabled, and often where authentication is required) that I have to use two broswers, and have just been waiting for IE to get its act together. Firefox is like a hot chick with a shite personality...so clsoe, but not what I want smile.gif

firefox doesnt like doing the whole internet banking thing for me.

mainly because the popup window doesnt size right for the login, but once im logged in it works like it does with IE...

mmm tabbed browsing!!!! just like my MSN. thats tabbed too. wohoo!!!

I would be interested to find out what add-on/mod u use to get tabs on the chat windows in MSN? or is it already an inbuilt option and I'm just a retard? lol

Ahh I see MSN+. I used to love that back pre-msn v7.XX but but since then i found its been buggy and didnt have alot of the options that the original did sad.gif

But that was only just after MSN7 came out.. so it would have been the first MSN+ build. that could explain why it was limited and buggy. perhaps i should try a newer version.

i only use the tabbed function.

has other features i consider pretty useless.

installing the sponsor (spyware) is elective during the installer. and it is clearly highlighted when you install it. unless you dont read installers... then thats your fault tongue.gif

I've never installed it, but those who did reckon they did it all right and didn't tick the badness boxes. I can't be bothered trying it out myself to prove who's right and wrong. Damn instant messengers are creating a generation of ppl with poor social interaction skills I reckon.....now go #@^$ yourselves tongue.gif
