definatley venus.. walk in and turn to the right! that bar there is the anthemite bar! the first booth on your right is Reserved anthems!! and be prepared! i did the anthem round it's like 50 names (real and screen) in 5 minutes!

Anthems events would be the main one (how ironic .. !).. but in the meantime we do tend to have a lot of social gatherings (BBQs, movie nights which turn into parties, or organised house parties).
Just befriend an Anthemite or two and you'll have countless opportunities to attend such events.
Venus on Thursday nights at the Ark is also another hotspot, for sure. The most consistent one, I'd say.

and its a really fun night out, even if it is on a THURSDAY!
on a good night 20-40+ regular Anthemites attend and party on till the wee hours of the morn...

I got given the tour by Ravvy, then Del & then i just started running around hugging and saying hi to everyone- so based on that- just talk to random strangers and if they talk back its all good. no need to worry about people thinking your a tool coz theyre all really nice

I got a grand FOONJI tour of all the anthemites when i went to venus, wanted to go tomorrow night but stardust will be going off, but it only finishes @ 11pm so may still make it there.
i think i met most ppl before venus...
through random outings or events and the like...
and then because im so WEEEEEEEEEIRD i just talk to any tom bob or shirely and well... im infectious and people seem to like talkin with me or laughing AT me or whatever i dont care im my own little party if theres no one to talk to i make my own fun

Anthems is a freindly place and i am sure everyone will make u feel at home
OK, so I really need to get out of the house a bit, so to speak, and meet some new people. I'm finding my monotonous routine of work, sleep, work, sleep has meant that my social life is utter poo and my good friends reduced to a select handful who have differing interests and free time to mine. I'm finding myself thinking more and more how it's time for a change, and how me and my boy should really make more of an effort to make the most of our disappearing youth, and whilst I do enjoy the odd raving event, I feel it's time to regularly attend a pub/club event and hopefully get to know some the people who are regulars to these sorts of things, rather than always feeling like a bit of an outsider looking in when I do make it to the odd rave. Although a Thursday night is not ideal, especially for my boy who starts work at 7 in the morning at the latest, Venus at the Arkaba does sound appealing. And from my bouts of lurking on this particular site versus some other Adelaide dance music oriented sites, the Anthemites people do sound generally pretty chilled and friendly, traits which I like to think I also share.
What do people think? Any advice? Hopefully I haven't made myself to sound like a total Nigel No Friends!

i say just get out to as many of the events you see us all going to and the ones we talk up here... don't ever be shy when approaching anthemites... check out some profile pics of members and come up and say hi - we're never snobby and always welcoming of new people!!!
for immediate events there is relive at earth tonight, sounds of the underground next friday... ark anthems in october... get out there and get into it. You're only young once.. don't waste it working your ass off and being a home body! And if you can get along to the odd venus here or there it never hurts. Allot of us plan things outside of pubs/clubs/raves so once we get to know you expect a hectic social life... someone on here is always up to something!!!
