People,

Here is you chance at a sneek peek into a peice of audio mastery produced by Adelaides (now Sydneys) local legend of the old school FLIP LIVE.

FLIP has produced the track Loves Fatal Sway under the psuedonym YannoxxX and has made it available here for all to listen to. I must stress that this track has not been Mastered yet, and is copyrighted.

[listen to it here]

I've had a listen and I am impressed! It carrys a certain familiar oldskool darkness to me..

Never knew your tastes had gone in that direction.....I like biggrin.gif
The Flipsta
well Davin... I was spinning Trance at the Kings Head front bar when Loopie was running it. Was spinning Trance at early morning recovery parties back in 98-99. Loved the music, just didn't have the means back then to make it, hence the gap in my producing anything. But now....YannoxxX has the chance to put that right!!

Very nice. Keep up the good work buddy smile.gif.

I guess I fit into that category!! Very, very impressed. Lush is the first word that springs to mind, as I imagine myself floating away in the middle of a dance floor somewhere...... Reminds me of a lot of the stuff I was listening to in the UK a few years back - brings back some lovely memories smile.gif

nice work.. love the trance! cant wait for a full mastered copy!

hey jason! You know me well enough to know that i will give you my honest opinion as i always have. I can't really say that the track gave me that goosebump feeling. Its nice but it lacks punch and, almost, direction. It has a great intro which lead into something that didn't really catch me. I'd call it a inbetween track; something i'd quickly mix between 2 other floor fillers. It needs an edge. It certainly has potential. sorry mate. its not the best review from me sad.gif

Sorry Chris, I gotta disagree with you on this one!
Great work Jason this is some cool shit! Just the sort of track I would love to groove along to!
Things have changed a lot in the past decade or so and this is an awesome progression from your early stuff (although "Jasons back" is still cool!).
Keep up the good work and good luck!

Nice work mate. Love the bit around 2:15 where those pads/strings come in then the synth buildup happens. I would love to see it with some soothing female vocals, i reckon that would go nicely with it. Doesn't really need much vocals just some small snippets that sorta carries with the flow of it whilst still giving it a progressive feel about it. Well that's just my 2 cents. Looking foward to hearing the mastered version. smile.gif

Thanks for your kind words Karnage. Hope all is well with you. Yes it's so much different than the earlier stuff, but back then I didn't have the setup to express myself in this way (IE Goa or Psy Trance). I haven't turned my back on the hard stuff neither, it's finding he time to produce some stuff. Im in Victoria right now so I may find some time whilst away from home to put some new stuff together, hopefully put it forward to the guys at Volatile, they're going great guns.

Thanks for your feedback Keko. Funny you should mention the breakdown as I have a version where the track starts with that at the beginning. I will use that for a set starter when DJing I think (so I'll have my own special version which wouild be great to include vocals on!!!). A little like Armin's Birth of an Angel/Shivers tracks, not that I'm anywhere in his league, but on the same vane as that. Unfortunately Ive been delayed in Victoria till May so I won't be able to finish the master till late May early June, but hey I think it will be worth it, I've really enjoyed making this and am extremely happy with the feedback so far

Hey Jay, first of all, my wife thinks your great cause you have a red mustang as your avatar. I told her I'd buy her a 67 Mustang red convertable with a white roof and white seats one day. Glay you enjoyed the track. Doesn't matter if you're not use to this kind of music, if it got you going, then I achieved the aim. If you want to find out where to hear more of this music, PM me. I may take a while to reply as IM a little limited as to when I can get online right now, but I will reply when I can. Thanx for the feedback again.
