Favourite Comedian

Am so excited about going to Melbourne next weekend to see Jimeoin and Bob Franklin in the Cooking Show, I just had to find out who everyone loved as a comedian.

As you can tell, I love Jimeoin but also like others. Will Anderson is a laugh. Craig Egan (from Adelaide) is also very funny when you get to see him. Love your work, Craig!!!

So who do you think is hilarious?????

Carl Baron all the way!!!!!

Billy Connelly also!!!

Jimeoin always makes me laugh

Billy Connelly is a favourite also

Eddie Murphy was a crack up also Tom Green same as Billy Connelly

Dave Hughes

without a doubt mine is jimeoin, i can remember first seeing him on the steve visard show telling a joke about putting a dooner in a pillow case was so bloody funny, at that moment i loved him to death.........and the lemon slushy guy is pretty funny. eat it u stuipd cow!!!!!!, i think it was they guy that was on yes dear......

Bob Franklin kicks Jimeoin's ass any day in the comedy stakes, he did at the last fringe..

I reckon the scared weird little guys, Lano and Woodley, and Shane Bennett are the funniest (last person is not a true comedian)

oh yeah, and the umbilical brothers..

I still think Carl Baron is the funniest

Eddie Murphy is definitely my favorite - from his old SNL stuff, Raw and Delirious.

Wow... what a range of comedians!!!

They are FUCKEN CLASSIC!!!!!!

I love Wil Anderson!!!! He's great!!!

And Carl Baron is good. I have him on DVD!!!!

The funniest part of any stand up is when they make themselves laugh!!! And can't get across what they're trying to say!!!

There have been some aweome names mentioned...
Eddie Murphy
Jimeoin
Billy Connelly
Carl Baron

But there are a few that I just love out side of these... such as...
Victor Borge (pass away a few years back)
Wayne Brady
and the who's line is is anyway (Ryan Stiles and Colin Mochrie)
Chris Rock
Scare Weird Little Guys

I am sure many of you will know a some of them.. and there are many others that I like but I am not good with names

yessum, i think you're right tiger. bob franklin is without a doubt one of the driest funniest people i have ever heard..........and all the more better, cos you can see him trying not to piss himself at everything he says.

Jack Black RULZ too!

Im surprised that no one has mentioned Dave Chapelle yet... Im sure some of you out in anthems land are fans of his

i love whos line is it anyway, got so many episodes of that, and i love staurday nite live, we got the dvds of mike myers and chris rock and their skits....shprockets.....lol

Ross Noble...by far! he is a freakin legend!

I thought it was restricted to aussie acts Chris Rock, Dave Chapelle, Wayne Brady (and the US version of who's line is it anyway), ummmmmm, mental block..

Carl Barron !!! Saw him last year when he was here. FUCKING GOLD!!!

Second Fave, Will Anderson, and then Dave Hughes.

oh yeah.....he is hilarious....nice one babe.....thanks for jogging my memory...now get me a drink be-atch

or the Little Britain guys??? Funny as....love them too

he was so funny in men in tights as achoo, got a clip of him singing about pissing on chicks, pretty funny

How 'bout Robin Williams... one of the funniest guys alive

Carl Barren is pretty funny too

"I'm Rick James B*tch" hahahaha love it..

Ross noble
Adam Hills - you have to see his bit on the world comedy festival in melborne 2004 (halrious)
Will anderson

I think most of my faves have been mentioned already but here's my list...

Eddie Murphy - I think I have just about all of Delirious and Raw memorised by now, my absolute fave stand-up routines EVER!!1
Dave Chappelle - His tele show rocked. Nothing beats the Rick James bit.
Leno and Woodley - Saw them in Melbourne earlier this year in their "Sing Songs" show, fkn hilarious. Had trouble understanding their jokes about Melbourne though.
And finally, the immortal....Bill Hicks. - Intelligent, witty and just damn funny. Such a shame he died.

Jerry Seinfeld!

Eddie Murphy is a legend and i too have most of delirious memorised, Robin Williams is fucking gold especially his live on broadway DVD. BillHicks is also good, and Billy Connolly, is anyone else going to see him in March??

Agreed... Definatley Carl Baron, but also Ross Nobel.. I have his DVD, and just the way he adlibs and goes off on his little tryants... it's hillarious! if you've never seen one of his acts then.... then... then i would have to be speechless!! SHAME ON YOU!!

my sister loves chris rock live, but i dont get it, he's not really that funny, he just runs around on stage yelling and swearing alot... it's not funny, just annoying.

but definatley agreed about Eddie Murphy. I have Delirious and Raw on DVD and no matter how many times i watch them, they still make me laugh. I guess a good comedian is someone who's comedy you can relat to, like when Carl Baron talks about his childhood and just general stuff, you can relate to it and that's what makes it funny!

i always really liked steven wright, the guy that does short surreal stuff and talks..real...ly...slow...ly..

also classic bill cosby..

hehe, bill cosby just reminds me of eddie murphy and the filthflarnfilth bit in raw

"you can not sayyyy......FUCK!"

there's an eddie murphy line for every occasion. seriously.

yeah, gotta love the classics like Bill Cosby.. alot of us grew up with him!

Loved Billy Connelly as a kid, but these days its gotta be Carl Baron (would anyone care for an orange juice?) he gets me every time. Also Will Anderson occasionally and Bill Hicks

hmm, i'm not sure about billy connelly, i like his standup, but i dont like his "world tour" shows.

Carl Barron played a role in one episode of Pizza too. He held up the pizza bar. GOLD!!!!! If anyone has that episode, can i get a copy please

Went and saw Jimeoin and Bob Franklin in The Cooking Show in Melbourne last weekend... was very funny indeed but only went for an hour

Omg.. how much do I miss their dancing that they do...

Agreed, Ross Noble is great, and being a geordie makes it all the better...

Seinfeld is GOD!

Rove should be assassinated! How can that unfunny comedian have his own show!? NOW THATS A JOKE!

The worst comedian is Chris Rock, all his jokes are..."and I'm like nigga, dats not how a black man drives". Always using shithouse black jokes!

LANO & WOODLY! they're the best ever!

my favourite comedians are:
1: john howard
2: peter costello
3: tony abbott
and
4: alexander downer

HA HA HA HA... nice one!!

ross noble is brilliant and i always loved bill cosby as a kid. Can't believe that no one has mentioned bill bailey tho. He was brilliant in black books and his stand up is way cool!
He's also a brilliant musician and he did a great piss take of kraftwerk.
he and ross noble guest starred on the glasshouse one night and they were way funnier than will or dave!

I have too many favourite comedians to mention, but Eddie Izzard is definitely up there for me! I tend to prefer the UK comics over the American ones. Bring on the Fringe Festival - there's sure to be heaps of these guys coming over again, woo hoo!!

Bill Bailey is a funny fart!!!!!
Lano and Woodley are GOLD!
Carl Barron(?) is just whacko but still makes me laugh too much!!!
but David Straussman and Ted.E Bare are my FAVES so far...

OH! and Red Symons!

thats funny.. i have those same four names on my hit list...

i love straski and bear the ventriloquist dude..

and umm... sienfield is a greta comedian.. and

HOMER SIMPSON!
