Worldwide, 20,000 brands of beer are brewed in 180 styles, from ales, lagers, pilsner and stouts to bitters, cream ales and iced beers.

Beer has been a popular beverage for a long time. Babylonian clay tablets show detailed recipes of beer making in 4300 BC. Beer was also brewed by the ancient Chinese, Assyrians and Incas.

An Egyptian text of 1600 BC gives 100 medical prescriptions using beer. A few years ago, the New Castle Brewery in England brewed 1,000 bottles Tutankhamun Ale from a 3,200-year old recipe found in the sun temple of Queen Nefertiti.

The term “the whole 9 yards” came from WWII fighter pilots in the South Pacific. When arming their airplanes on the ground, the .50 caliber machine gun ammo belts measured exactly 27 feet, before being loaded into the fuselage. If the pilots fired all their ammo at a target, it got “the whole 9 yards.”

...If you have black leather shoes you can "spruce" them up by rubbing the leather with the inside of an orange rind.
...Run out of shoe polish for your brown shoes / boots?... rub them with the inside of a banana peel and leave them to dry.

...FACT: On the weekend I saw an affair being had:

Early morning at Carsibrook Park. (We were there for family photos)

See one car come into the car park and park away from all the other car parks under a tree. No big deal. Nothing suss. Just a guy parking in the car park, probably waiting for someone.

Said someone he was waiting for pulls into the car park, parks next to him underneath said tree. Lady gets out of her car, with a sun visor, gets into his car, puts the sun visor up over the front windscreen (suss). Then after about 10 minutes she gets out of the car and into the back seat. After a further 10 or so minutes the guy does the same.

Looked over some stage after that and the car was kinda bouncin' laugh.gif The bouncin' didn't last for long though laugh.gif

Both parties eventually got out of the back of the car, sat back in the front and pulled the sunvisor down.

And other people may have seen them, but that usually only bothers cheatting people if it's their partners that are catching them lol.

The registration for SBG's (Saudi Binladen Group, the company owned by the Bin Laden family) Internet domain name, saudi-binladin-group.com, was registered on September 11, 2000, for one year, expiring on the same day as the September 11, 2001 attacks. The domain was later acquired by a domain speculator. SBG currently uses sbg.com.sa, which was registered on 2000-01-11.

I've been reading alot of interesting stuff on Osama Bin Laden lately.

If you've had an organ transplant, it is best to avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice (it interferes with the anti-rejection drugs in your blood)

The harmless whale shark holds the title of largest fish, with the record being a 59 footer captured in Thailand in 1919.

George W. Bush is the first u.s. president to declare himself exempt from over 750 U.S. laws, sidestepping most of the bill of rights including the constitutional requirement that the president follow all laws. Yes, they mentioned it specifically to suppress tyranny.

In the past few decades 90% of the big fish in the oceans have been eaten, or otherwise disposed of.
