There are a couple of anthems shows at St Pauls each year, along with 1 or 2 Ark anthems shows, with something extra in the works. There's also the monthly club night at Tonic.

No one is being pressured to be part of the team and help out, and we don't want to twist your arm to do it. Only join up if you're keen to be part of something special

Apart from a couple of us who are quite heavily involved, most of the team only spend an hour or so a week taking care of small tasks....dropping of flyers, putting up posters, making some smiley decor....and comming up with ideas as they chat in the forums.

It's as much a social thing as anything....sitting around on a quiet sat arvo making some decor and couple of new friends. It's amazing how you can find time when it's something that really interests you

There is a great bunch of ppl all putting their spare time into making anthems what you see it today. Wouldnt be part of anything else.

I'd like to thank the 40+ people that have been helping out... THANX

Each person can choose there own level of involvement.. some can only aford a little time each week others have ideas and goal's they'd like to see out of it... There is something for everyone!

after being a part of team.anthems for the st.pauls show, id just like to say to any of u thinking about joining the team - its an extremely rewarding project to be a part of!
We all put in a bit of time at Pauls place in the lead up, making decore and finalising the setup, and then at the venue on the Saturday before. To see it all fall into place and setup from nothing, to cranking on the dancefloor to something you played a part in, is a WIKID feeling.

Very rewarding and wanto thank Paul for the opportunity!

Getn on board and make the next show as good, if not better than the last!!!!

Here here Slide. It's been fantastic fun and rewarding. I was even more smilie seeing so many people pile into St Pauls. What an awesome response.

a. What do you do for a living?

For a living?!? Hmmm…. I am a professional socialite!  Well I study fulltime at TAFE to eventually start my own youth health business catering at having councillors with real life experience behind them! There are many things I have seen and been through in my life, I just want to help kids and make a difference! I don’t have a “real job” (what the hell is a real job anyway? When someone has a clue let me know!) So at the current moment in time I would say that I’m just enjoying my youth and meeting some weird yet wonderful people along the way!

b. Which of the skills you possess do you enjoy using the most?

I am an extreme attention seeker, my vibrant and wacky personality oozes and screams “look at me, look at me, look at meeeeeeee!!!! I am not easily embarrassed; love meeting new people and love to party hard! It can be dangerous at time but hey you gotta live life on the edge!

c. What do you want to get out of being involved?

Something I have started to realise is that I am slowly but surely becoming a bit of a party personality! And that’s something I would love to increase! But also just the sheer joy of meeting new people and making people happy, if I can help in anyway to give someone a smile on my dial I’m there! “if you see someone without a smile give them one of yours” I wonder if anyone else reads the back of bus tickets?!? GEEK

d. How often do you go out these days?

Well I am a slight social whore…. Wednesday night (let’s do the time warp again!), Thursday night (cheap VIP drinks at the exchange and then maybe a little cranking chemistry), Friday night (everyone get paro at my house!), SATURDAY NIGHT (here there and everywhere, but where would you be without cheap as drinks at the London?) and the occasional Sunday (bustin out at the bay perhaps?!?), I guess Sunday is good for nursing those bloody hangovers! But Sundays are a good day/night to recap the week that has just gone and get pumped for the one which awaits you!

e. How much time do you spend online?

Well it depends how bored I am at TAFE???? So in other words everyday!

f. Where do you listen to most of your music?

At home, on the bus, in the car, at TAFE on the mp3, at my boyfriends, at my mates, when I’m out CRANKING, when I’m out and about chillin….. so here there and everywhere! Mainly drum and bass, but hey I’m a child of the beat so I’ll listen to anything and make it my own! 

Why I have indeedy, I love getting dressed up in costume! Corrupt officer lili at the ark anthems! In fact I recently purchased the MEGA WESTERN SHOWBAG from the Adelaide show, so watch out at upcoming events you may get shot by the sheriff or even hunted down by an indian?!? Oh! Oh! Ohhhhhh!!!! I also purchased a new angel outfit, so someone may be having a night in “heaven” MY BOY DYLAN!!!! (That was a tad graphical) YUCK

h. Have you ever travelled to another country?

Well Sydney is like another country, infact anywhere other than Adelaide is like another country. You can’t just walk up to a stranger, have a huge indepth convo about how your life lacks meaning and direction and how your cat and goldfish are having a “secret” love affaire, without them turning around and giving you a weird look and walking away! But good old Adelaide, somehow everyone knows everyone and if you don’t know them then it’s ok because by the end of the night you’ll know their entire life story and they will know yours! (Sometimes this isn’t always a good thing) but hey I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. Adelaide is my home sweet home!

i. What do you think is the biggest word you can spell?

Hmmmmm….. TOGETHERNESS? That has 12 letters in it! And I didn’t have to look at my newsletter or anything?!? Lol…

hahaha there could be waves of lincolnites streaming in through the doors of an anthems event, *Ravvy looks* and in this moment the only word she can say is..."noooooo" muahahahaha! Sounds scary doesn't it? But on a more serious note, you reckon we could become part of the 'a team'?

u'd have to ask Mr T about joining the A-Team (oh dear... showing my age), but as for team anthems, there is no reason why you guys shouldn't be a part of it.... everyone on the team helps in their own little way and does allot to contribute to the anthems atmosphere... some spend more time at it than others and there are those who aren't as overt with their contribution but it all helps in getting the word and the awesome vibe out there and all team members, as well as all the regulars at the anthems events should be very proud of their individual contribution and for making anthems the wonderful world it is!

Damn...we missed our chance at Enchanted Forest then....i should have gone up and asked him there and then in person .

Oh and we never got any anthems stickers so we couldn't stick them anywhere on the way home...oh well...better luck next time eh?

The Stardust Summer Sound Festival is day time.

I can see myself helping and bringing in new ideas, but i want afew more events under my belt, and to know alot more people too.
I've run whole events/helped run big events before (not rave events, actually very different events) still some of the same principles are involved. Getting the people there and keeping it fresh.

I love the atmosphere anthems people bring, to any event we go to.
although, we do turn it into a hugfest hahaha

i think the hugometer hits redline everytime i go to anything anthems related. and i tell u wat it never fails to put a smile on my face.

a hug is the warmest extension of freindship and somthing that can only ever make u feel fuzzy n warm inside.

unless you get a hug from Daana and he's just come off the dance floor and he's all sweaty....then it makes you feel all wet and fuzzy

I’m a uni student studying Bachelor of Design Studies (3rd year) at Adelaide uni, it’s the first part of an architecture degree but I am looking to get into digital media as I have a real passion for 3d animation and music. I am a spirits captain (glorified bottleshop worker) at dan murphy’s to pay the bills and I spend pretty much all my pay on new tunes and glowing bright stuff.

b. Which of the skills you posess do you enjoy using the most?

Animation, design, the ability to turn a space into something special, to take imagination and give it form. I love to dance I love to make people happy, either through a simple hug or a smile or something more deep and meaningful.

c. What do you want to get out of being involved?

I want to see the Adelaide party scene out live me. I want the new crew to experience everything it can be. Teach them its about the party not the drugs. The music people and atmosphere are the keys to unlocking the raver inside. I want to see the smile on someone’s face as they walk into a world that is so unlike the conformed box we live in. I want to party with genuine people. Without ego. Without being judged.

I want to see the ideas that I have been drawing since high school be realised. I want to see a party that people WANT to be at. I want the REAL feeling to return. The feeling of unity. Bring back the temporary autonomous zone. I may be dreaming here… but honestly, maybe we are all just dreaming reality, and reality is really our dreams.

Every night my wallet allows. Usually at least once every 2 weeks. I used to head out every thurs, fr,i and sat, but money is starting to slow me. I still have my love for the music. It is my one and only driving force. The music is why I go to parties. The same music that brings people together from everywhere and in one magical moment binds us into one thriving mass of energy

e. How much time do you spend online?

Way too much for my own good. I work with a lot of digital tools be it animation or 3d visualisation, or sound, so I am always wanting to get new inspiration, and see what is new. Music forums eat most of the time I SHOULD be studying, but I’m a people person. I need to be around mates, don’t get me wrong i am very independent and self confident. I just prefer the company of like minded individuals, and occasionally the odd unlike minded soul to butt heads against in the name of fun. At least 5 hours a day. MINIMUM. Yes I know its bad… “my name is Marchie and… im an addict” haha.

f. Where do you listen to most of your music?

My headphones. I don’t go anywhere without music. Its on when I sleep on the computer, the boom-box in the shower, the iPod everywhere else. In my old house we installed a fully working 10 inch subwoofer in the toilet room because it was the only room in the house without a sub in it. Music is more than sound.

I am a Kandii kid. If its bright or it glows I’ll probably wear it. I don’t really care what people think I look like. I am me. I am happy with that. I go to have fun, and I try to encourage others to do so too. Plus phatts just feel comfortable for the style I dance. Usual dress, black saari’s over tweak reflective denim jeans, BRIGHT red shirt, arms completely covered in Kandii, white gloves, cookie monster visor, and purple spiky rubber hair.

h. Have you ever travelled to another country?

Yes, been to USA, Canada, New Zealand, Bali, and Tasmania. Love travel. Love meeting new people

i. What do you think is the biggest word you can spell?

Antidisestablishmentarianism… learnt that in primary school

Also the longest surname I can remember is : wolfestiegelsteinhausenbergadorf. Not sure if it is real but it was in one of my German exercise books. It was soo strange I memorised it.






Anthems parties have given me so many good times and introduced me to so many good friends I feel its time I gave back to community that so warmly took me in and allowed me to be who I am. If I can make just one person feel the way I have since immersing myself in this scene, then I am happy.

Also I’d like to add that I have never taken any sort of substance apart from alcohol and caffeine, which I rarely take. Have never and don’t intend to either, music is my only drug. I believe that when the time comes when the music is not enough for me anymore without external stimulants, its time I need to walk away. I will never judge someone on their methods of living and loving, and I will never stop loving life.

I am sick of seeing our scene dragged through the dirt by the media, I want to show them that we are just normal people who refuse to hate and judge people like we are trained to do in the outside world.

Honestly. I just wanna get away to somewhere special and dance. All night long. Forever. And I wanna bring everyone with me.
