working on it!

PaulHamon

If you've got a collection of The CORE Magazine we'd like to hear from you.. Please PM me ASAP.

At this stage are looking for issues 1-52 for the first year (1991, I think)... but we are interested in all of them...

You will earn yourself some serious browny points if you can help out!

Thanks,
PaulHamon

http://anthems.com.au/pdf/TheCORE_issueA.pdfHere is the full 16 pages of the special Old School anthems Edition of The CORE reproduced in 1998, this issue was designed by the original magazine designer, Acb Tyson! If you'd like to step back in time to somewhere betwen 1991 - 1993 and read the interviews with DJs ATB, George The Boss, Angu$, Brendon and Groove Terminator have a look at what tunes were big in the clubs and the events that rocked, you should download it right now and print it out!

It's a 6.5meg PDF... so on slower connections it could take a while, but it is totally worth it. http://anthems.com.au/pdf/TheCORE_issueA.pdf

Hi there, my first post hope it works out OK. To answer your question I've got most of the core mags from about mid 92 when I first started hitting it till when the format changed in 93 and went large style until it eventually ceased it exist.

ok wink.gif we'll keep that mind... we're planning to scan them in a re-release them, digitially online!

I've talk to Acb Tyson one of the original owners and got his approval... he has all the copy but now lives in London so it's a little hard to get hold of the issues!

If you're interest in help, just PM me and we'll have a chat!

Sure, drop me a mail but it will take some time edit with audio as these videos have been watched many times. If you want to sort a copy thats fine for the sake of showing some true evidence of the times! You would probably be able to answer this but do you know of many audio tapes recorded at LeRox? I only know of Levitate with Xcitement & Nigel when Easygroove was down Nov 92.........

Oh my gosh. if only this site had of been around about 4 years ago when I had a massive clean out. I had heaps of issues. Ones that went way back. I did some work for the core magazine with Matty in about 1993. Man this is freakin me out. What memories those times have created. I will never forget those early days when the music took you on a journey of mind, body, spirit and feet. Oh those were the days.

JACKPOT MR HAMON!

Paul, I just opened a box from moving house that has a stack of long lost Core Mags

I have just found about 75 old black and white mags from 8th January 1992 - 28th July 1993.. fuck I just got 13 years younger in about 15 minutes after having a look at some of these priceless beauties! I also have the 1998 anthems issue which you ended up getting anyway.

I have 4 x A3 size issues as well from 19th August 93 - 2nd December 93
I also have about 15-20 colour issues from issue 3.1 - 5.5

Give me a call whenever Paul and we'll sort it out
