any rev head will be impressed by this machine. absolutely insane! pretty much a monster truck without the big wheels!! just as loud too! hehehe! not joking either!

and to the boys who reckon there's no replacement for displacement (I was one of these until 99), sorry there is hehe. For every 15psi boost, it's like adding your engine's capacity to itself again. ie your 3.0L turbo commode running 15psi breathes like a 6.0L, or run it on 30psi and it's a 9.0L beast LOL

I'd be happy with the Skyline set to 5.0L thanks.....don't think the standard internals would hold together at 7.5L (30psi) hehe

Can everyone please rename their boost controllers to Engine Capacity controllers and mark it in increments of litres instead of psi LOL

I too used to think high and mighty of the old inline 6 and v8's but im now much wiser, where else can you get so much power from such a little engine with half the capacity, turbo's are THE way, and it shows as now there are twin and single turbo setups popping up everywhere on v8's now.

Boost is my friend...

Come on theres no substitute to a lumpy V8 running on METHanol. The sound and the smell theres nothing better.
But still i would like to get my hands on one of these turbos and give it and old skool caining. I remeber i gave my mates series 2 rotor a floging down west tce on a sunday arvo. Yeah she went hard but she wouldnt last to long in my hands. It would be constantly in the red

Harley,i will agree with you to some extent bout the v8's on methanol, would love to drive or own one BUT for me the thing i love is drifting. Little silvia's etc going flat chat around a track on constant oppisite lock is by far the best form of car control and driver ability aropund, sure driving some big v8's stato or commo in a straight line is all good fun but not suited entirely to the drifting scene.

As ive said before each to their own, opinion's are like assholes, everyone has one.

but for me it's BOOST ALL THE WAY BABY, YEAH

Me I am a different individual (some say weird, I say Unique lol).

I dont like sports as there is so much effort in liking a sport.
-I mean first you have to choose a sport.
-Second, you have to follow and know that sport
-Barrack and support your sport

I mean if I liked sports there wouldn't be much time for the important things....Raving and enjoying the music.

well, my project is going as planned so far

anyway, I reckon all types of cars have their place, V8s, V6s and I6s, 4s, turbos, S/Cs etc etc.. I like all types of decents cars that look nice.. hmmmm M3 CSL hehehe

Hay Chuchsta i know where your coming from dude. Seriously some of these people who can throw these cars around and drift like thay do are insaine!! Mate brings around all these Japanese DVD's around and some of the crazy shit thay do is mad!! Dont get me wrong i love the sports cars but i also love my V8's. Look at the V8 touring cars how mad are thay??. Loved the clipsal this year had the old skool Toranas, GT's Monaros etc... It was great seeing them.
I remeber a good 5 yrs ago maybe more at the drags there was a white Stanza that just went of. His times whernt the best but thats because of the driver constantly launching the front in the air!! it wasnt becasue the car was slow. This thing would of being capable of 11-12secs.... But yes i do agree thay are both two different types of racing which i have great respect for.

from there i bought a 89 BMW 535 MSport, borning old clunka, sold it after 4 weeks!
i then had a R31 skyrine with RB20DET, VG30 turbs, cooler, boost etc, loved that thing!
now i got a scooter and about to buy something else, sub 5k. im over big bickies on cars!

nice FC3S those cars are nice.. the 5 series beemas are okay, should of tried to find an M3 or M5 of the same era..
let us know what you get..

I like the sound of turbo cars, but also a nice V8 as long as the car looks nice and clean, I like it (except for cars like festivas and excels etc hope I don't offend anyone )

There are some insane twin turb V8's turning up around the place....even the yanks have seen the light! Have you heard of the judge twin turb Holden ute?

I'm a V8 boy from old, but my drive for the last 6 years has been a turbo '33 from the land of Nissan. Twin turbo V8's kinda of blend two of my loves hehe...but the sound...OMG!!!!

Jase, nice beast/bitsa you have there man, would be fun to drive im sure BUT as Davin said, twin turbo that sucker and you'll suck the doors from any traffic light competitor.

and slide, dude, what a sweet looking car you had there. pitty you sold it hey.

Well to be totally honest I am a bit of all of the above... really just depends on the mood (or state of health) I am in at the time

Some days I am glued to the compter playing games and chatting other days I am out about about other days Iam talking to friends about thier cars and what they are going to do next (and if I could afford it, it would inclued what I am doing to my car), it really jusy depends!!!

i used to be a revhead, until my car got stolen. i turned it into a project, and its still a project, but with no motivation or $$ projects dont get done!

so i'm a sporty type more-so now.
except not on sundays anymore, unfortunately i seem to lose sundays sumhow to not much more than sleep and trying to get my brain reconfigured to survive the working week until the next weekend.
i guess sport helps there! go the indoor netty and indoor soccer!
