Don't Be The One That Misses Out!

Bring it back to the days of reality... If dance music reality for you started sometime in the early 90’s, or you just love the classic tracks from this era, this one’s for you! Even If you’ve never been, give it a go this Proclamation Day Holiday Eve - we promise you won’t be disappointed! Arrive home with massive grin, a musical education and a few new dance-floor buddies to boot! Once again, we have secured a venue worthy of hosting another in the anthems series. St Paul’s holds a special place in many hearts across Adelaide, holding some of this city’s finest and most memorable events, including several previous anthems installments.

We’ve locked in some of Adelaide’s best Old School selectors for the Rave, House, DnB and Trance rooms including DJs Andy J, Angu$, ATB, Brendon, Davin, Devious, DJ Ben, Dr Damage, Fiction, George The Boss, H-Bomb, Jayse, John Doe, Josh, Maestro D, Mal Chia, Mark 7, MPK, Mr S, Nickdub, Noddy, Reelax, Skot Holder and Slide plus MCs Jules, Maestro D and Rude Boy. Be there to soak up the anthems vibe at St Pauls on Monday December 26 when they take us back, way back!

Tickets are available from Venuetix (all stores), MTME Records (all stores) or 3rDimension (semaphore) for $28 plus fees. Plus at the door from 9pm... be early to avoid missing out!

i remember seeing paul oakenfold at heaven one christmas night (i think i was 20-21?) and i had done my posterior cruciate ligament about 2 weeks before it, so there i was, with a massive knee brace, on crutches, going off like a loon on the dance floor, and still holding on tightly to 2 bottles of corona - i still look back to that night with some pride, cos thats what true dedication is all about!!!!

The vinyl I have here is circa 96 and has the Vocal Mix, Original 12" Mix, Red Jerry Mix and Itty Bitty Boozy Woozy Mix....and I hav about four others on my PC....can't get enough of it!!!!

I've been telling people about my attendance for one.point.one on New Years Eve .. mainly because I can't see any better way to end the year and start the new one than at a rave .. and the same goes for Christmas.

I'll see 26th of Dec anthems as my Christmas present for the year. It's quite clearly the most fitting present as well, nothing else will compare

thats what we like to call Christmas, and Boxing Day, and The Day After Boxing Day
and then by New Years when we've recovered some, we're ready to do it again!

drinking, we all drink lots and lots and lots and lots, other wise we'd all kill each other i'm sure... if smp and i have to do anything family related x-mas day (fingers crossed we've managed to avoid it still!!) we'll be pissed as by the time we get to this event from all the drinking to deal with the pain the day before!

I would like to put a motion forward that on the 26th we drink, dance and party till we cant feel out legs...... and then do it all over again and forget all the crappy stuff.

oh yeah - st pauls and old skool trax is just the carrot i need to get through another xmas. all those lunches and dinners and drinks and stuff is made all the more worthwhile by the light at the end of that dark, dark tunnel.

oh.. and i got wednesay the 28th as my rostered day off!!!

It's only been a day (not even..) since Enchanted and the post-Enchanted celebrations finished up .. and I'm already bursting at the seams because of the upcoming anthems event.

This will be the biggest one yet - time to let loose and go wild yet again for the Ravemas (Christmas, but with raves) celebrations.

it worked for me

when i joined in august i knew Seven of GAffio, and that was pretty much it...

now i thikn i know most of the regulers on here and class a good group of them as freinds mates and bloody top people!

ive ran outta times that ive bumped into some one at an event in the last couple of montsh and asked if they was on here.. or just guessed who they are from their profile pics. the profile picture is definitly a great way to recognise people!

I heard Paul Glazby at Winter and E8.. and honestly, didn't think much of him. Maybe because he was playing at the end of the event both times that everyone is so tired from dancing all night that whatever is happening at that time isnt registering!

yep. after the clothes come off i jump in the shower and try to wash the night away. get rid of the headache that you get after walking out a loud club! then we usually get dressed again and sit around a mates place in his backyard having a "recovery" playing some trance trax and trying to keep a conversation going! you know what it's like the next day!!

SMP and I aren't much for the rave dressing, comfort is the name of the game and we'd both look hot in a garbage bag so don't make too much of an effort.... Just come in your rave clothes... stuff what people think! We wont laugh at you and if anyone else does they'll get a talking to from us matey!!

besides, dressing like a raver is better than dressing like a fashion victim and there are an abundance of them down rundle street!

i only had about 10 cards from SMP to hand out, so most people i snapped in my 80 odd photos i took didint get a card but i told them all to log in to the address on the sticker on their shirt!

Ok, heres my 2 cents worth:

My night wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been due to:
- Upstairs and the Trance Room being a like a Sauna for the first half of the night
- Way too many songs being repeated 2 or even 3 times throughout the night
- Undercover Cop 'chatting' to me

haha yeah i heard about that undercover cop ey lmfao, but that is not sumthing that the anthems crew can do much about......but this is sumthing we all need to be careful of wat we chose to talk about
id agree with the heat of the rooms, the dnb was extreamly hot......is there sumthing that we can do about this?
with the whole songs being repeated part, not all of the DJs talk to eachother and decide wat songs they can and cant play based on wat eachother are playing....i guess if u dont like the song, then dont dance to it and go to another room

top night!
but the only thing i had a problem with was the time it finished.
wen i went to (1)NE it finished at about 6am....and buses didnt start running untill 7am, so i sat out in the cold in the wind for an hour.

i think if events could finish more in conjunction with buses then it may help to get a few more ppl, as then ppl know they hav a way there and a way home.
