Pure blonde is a Fav of mine - Delicious

Bitburger is a new one that I tried last week - I bought it because of the packaging tongue.gif it comes in a funky green box - it is made in Germany and it was ok on one's pallet - would definately buy this again. Yummy.

I am forever changing my choices of beer. AND have many Favourites.....including > :

Coopers Pale Ale
Fosters Blue
Carlton Cold
VB
XXXX - but this beer makes me extremely drunk !!

Guiness is great in winter smile.gif

It is always warm up here in Sunshine City so one can mostly be found having a lovely bottled brew when the work day is thru - beep beep

My preffered drinking vessel is the can . . . Give us a nice cold tinny will ya maate . . . .

corona......mmmm they good too
*smp*r
beer...I am so not a true Aussie sheila...and my dad is never gonna be proud of me being a true Southwark man himself....but I just cannot drink beer...and that shits me coz it would make for way cheaper nights out....give me CC and dry any day over a beer smile.gif or go for the real deal absinthe when you're at the Enigma bar....mmmmm, good stuff for that extra insight biggrin.gif

Even better - a new discovery for me - overproof Kahlua....yep sweeeet kahlua that actually gets you drunk.... 70% alcohol and still sweet on the tongue...love it!!!!
buzznr
yeh i'm with u smp!

can't stand even the smell of beer! i was told early on in my drinking days that beer was an acquired taste, so i spent a whole nite attempting to acquire it...

well all i acquired by the end of the night was a pretty full bucket.. wacko.gif

never touched the stuff since! all spirits for me now
*smp*r
you tried absinthe??? Its good stuff matey and worth the higher price tag....it has hallucinogenic qualities so is extra special wink.gif....beware of imitations though....if you ever go to the Enigma bar they serve the real deal there...noice!!!!
PrincessPeach1337r
i used to hate beer, then i started dating a real "beer and footy" type man's man, and beer has somehow found it's way into my favourite drinks. some of the ones i like are...

- bees nees (had it at some weird beer bar in melbourne, really yummy, has hints of honey flavour tongue.gif~~~)
- coopers pale ale (go south aussie!)
- becks
- guinness (the beer that eats like a meal tongue.gif~~~)
- vb (only if it's free and i'm desperate, but still the better of the generic cheapies)

on the otherhand, southwark has to be the *worst* beer i've ever had the displeasure of downing. Crap with a capital C. *nod*
*smp*r
don't tell that to my dad.... but maybe thats where my hatred of beer began....trying his beers after he'd had a hard day down on the old farm....was vile stuff I agree!!! VB is about on par with it I'd say too....nasty with a capital N tongue.gif
missvixenr
haha u guys dont know wat ur missing
PrincessPeach1337r
smp, your dad is weird tongue.gif
*smp*r
Missvixen, wait till you get a job and can afford something better than beer...YOU don't know what youre missing my dear young thing!!!! laugh.gif

And princesspeach...do you know my dad or something coz you are right...people say I take after him too...hmmmmm biggrin.gif
missvixenr
haha babe i love beer so even if i could affor more i would still drink it lol
i do enjoy sprits tho mmmmm
but beer dont get me nearly as hung over and it is not such a heavy drunkness
PrincessPeach1337r
haha, i don't know him but anyone who actually likes southwark has gotta be a bit off. i mean that stuff is awful!

i love my expensive beers the most, and when i'm really cashed up i especially like to have a guinness or two. that stuff is so good, but so expensive sad.gif
fo_sho_manr
I heard overproof here biggrin.gif Talk about OP, the new drink I like and its as aussie as you can get, BUNDY!!! I'll prob be on the drip with that stuff at the end of the month.. glad I can drink it laugh.gif

BTW, the "real deal" as u speak of is only the stuff legal in australia! Has about 10% of the actuall content of Thurajon (sp?) that the "real deal" has in the Chec Republic. I happen to have gotten my hands on "the real deal" straight from Chec!

As to beers! I have never tasted a better beer than the ones I get straight from the brewers in my hometown in germany, made especially only for the particular brewery. Best beer in the world! The german "weizenbier" is also up there (it's a type of beer not a brand)...

To brands of beer, I luv the coopers, and lot of the imports esp from euro countreis.. American beer SUX and tastes like rubber! Aussie beers in general (no offence) are disgusting, esp VB, MB, Carlton Cold, XXXX, amongst others... however there are some decent ones here, IE coopers, Boags, Beez, etc... I also like the NZ beer Steinlager! Although due to finances, i have been cut back to drinkin the $2 tooheys new at heaven... Don't like the stuff, but for $2 can't go wrong really, only thing better would be free! smile.gif
eskimopier
I agree German beers are the best. I spent a few days in Munich at Octoberfest a while back and man did those beers taste good. A huge beer festival .... and very civilised - not too many messy drunks. I think I was drinking Spaten and Lowenbrau, but cant be sure as it was many moons ago. Ahh the memories.
missvixenr
Home Brews r tastey.
we have a brew kit, dunno whos lable, but it tastes real good

Jebus!!! The stuff we got from Enigma had us special enough - an was imported from Europe...I'd be a bit scared to try the Czech stuff in that case....be well worth an experimental sesh!!! Sweeeet absinthe... tongue.gif

TRUMMER- newest discovery, yum yum - better than stella and heineken even!

from Dan murphys
tsybar
Absinthe, traditionally, is brewed with wormwood, an hallucinogenic. In Australia it is indeed a strong liquor, but by no means the real deal, here it has little to no wormwood. Although, I have never encountered the Enigma produce... I would be interested to know the brand... and to give it a go! All my experiences with absinthe purchased from our local bottle-o's have been fun, but not even the slightest bit hallucinogenic.... Just good ol' drunken fun!

But to the important stuff! Beer!!
I wasn't a beer drinker until I was about 20ish, until I started seeing my man... but the past few years have been the best in terms of drinking. I can't believe I couldn't drink the stuff before. It's the best thing in this warm Aussie weather! So refreshing, and so cooling. And the best way to mellow out after a stressful day at work! I'll always go a bit of Coopers, no questions there! But a bit of Becks is nice, and I love to knock back a few Tuborgs (my mum used to drink that when she was young in England!). I love you beer!

Currently I'm knocking back a Pure Blonde, but to be honest, it's a bit lacking in the flavour department. Although I've heard, that like Corona's, it's good with a slice of lime/lemon.... have to give it a go!

So much love for the golden brew in a bottle!!!

pure blond tastes too fizzy and artificial to me, if that makes any sense

some might describe it as a dryness?
grooverr
its coz it has no carbos, ie sugar, so only god know how it ferments!

They use manky artificial sweetner... blink.gif

Blasphemy!
jase31r
