Both were in 1990 (I think!) but can't remember the names of them, who played or even what I wore.... 
One at the Convention Centre, which was big enough to have the Gravitron plus a few other rides INSIDE!!
The other one was at the top of the Renaissance Tower, when the outdoor escalators were still in Rundle Mall. They filled one of the rooms up to your knees with those styrofoam "s" shapes they pack electrical gear in. I remember kicking them down Rundle Mall as the sun was rising - great memories....

Why don't they have cool raves like that now ? They're all uninventive now ... closest thing to styrofoam things inside would have been when they put all that fluro string between those trees at enchanted at Sedan.
My first rave was the second Enchanted they had at Pt Gawler ... 2001 ( i accidentally clicked the wrong button and voted for 2000

I'm so in awe over that gravitron in the convention centre !! a big decent rave like that now would be insane ... rides ... perhaps a room filled with those balls u get at puzzle park !!

i remember being in matric in 89 and wanting to go to warehouse II [i think] but i had an exam the next day..
can't really remember first actual rave [the whole 90's are kinda blurry and time-disjointed [for some unkown reason]]..
altho i did help put on an underage gig in 87 [88?] at the old lion [Funky Nation], groove terminator played at that!
first would have have to have been something at le rox or metro i think.. or maybe UR at tunnels, when was that?
maybe we should try to set up a definitive timeline..

UR was at the old lion in late 1992... upstairs closed at 2pm and then when into the tunnels!

Might help me piece together my first raves at LeRox and Enter Centre in the early 90's
Not so much a rave but a pretty good experience for me when I was 16. I think it was around 1994 and I went to Discovery. Can't remember where it was. But I thought it was pretty good considering how dodgy my fake ID looked, didn't really like the music but I got hooked eventually. Before that, Jules Bar/Metropolis in 1993. I lasted less then an hour before I was kicked out I'm sure.
yeah... I was clubbing for a couple of year before my first rave.. asianfunkpenomena... but when was you first real rave???
It was either the Ultraworld at the Gaol or the 1st Atomic Energy. I can't remember which was the earliest.

Finale was close to my first big rave....

Excalibur was in there too somewhere.....Camelot Castle!

The first rave I remember was at the old Adelaide Gaol and they had bouncy castles with the guy running it blasting everyone with a water pistol, also old car and sledgehammers to smash it up .. a room full of video games ... it was a great night!! I'm sure it was in '92? Everythings a bit blurry from back then...
this was back in the day when I used to help my mate deliver 'Core' magazines....
Crazy... first Adelaide Goal show was January '93.. was run my myself, MPK, Noddy, Maestro D and Ben Dry .... Did it have the car bash.. with the sledge hammers?
I used to work for and then later owned the 'Core' who was your mate?.... Trying to think back who did delivery; Gus, Jamie, Ollie

My first raves were somewhere around 1998 (although a lot of the events are a little blurred in time). Elysium at the Heritage Hotel, UW10 and Twice as Nice (when they had the go-karts) and Valley of Dreams were probably a few of my first. Since then, I've been to most of the Ultraworld events, System 6, a regular at Rush & Dreamers & of course anthems. Nowadays, I've been going to less and less events each year, mainly limiting myself to the big events such as WE & EF and anything with Kevin Energy, Sharkey & Paul Glazby.

'93 .. that would have to have been the one cause I became a father in 94 and didn't go out for quite a few years after that! Took me a few years to realise you can do both !

mine started the revenge from the day they were born. As they get older I seem to relate to them more. My 10 year old daughter has been hassling me to take her to Enchanted for the past couple of years! I told her not till you are 16.

1990 in the back of a big artic truck driving around the M25 in the UK. Usual run around after meeting up with a convoy of cars at a garage in south london followed by everyone fighting to get into one of two trucks parked at the services @ the A1/M25 junction. 1 greenburger & too many denice the menacies later and we were thrown out into daylight 1-2 miles away from the car park to start the journey home....hehe....good times

That's good! And you've got plenty more to go.
I've been going out since late 98 to U4ria's and clubs and loved it, but my first rave which is when i also first i wore candy was Enchanted 2001.

First REAL rave would have been last US live set at sp pauls... dont really remember a year... would have been 2002? i think then Ultraworld at downtown they were pretty close if my memory serves me correctly.

Held at Dock Number 5 at Port Adelaide October 1993 (thank you Paul for the date - Master of knowledge of all parties/dates/times/people/places/underwear sizes).
This was when Hocus Pokus together with Ultra Sonic came to visit. For my first, I found it totaly awesome and running totally excitement and a shot of alcohol.

w2 and Beach Party both in the east end and both only about 4 month apart... w2 was NYE thou!
One of the organised of Beach Party worked with me at The Core several years later... he was telling how they we all sitting around getting drunk as thet counted the minutes... the party was a financial disaster and was loosing them something like $400 per MINUTE they had worked out.

So was "Beach Party" Warehouse 1? I didn't get to that one but went to W2, which was my first rave. As I said in a previous post I remember The Reels playing and their being fairground rides, but I can't remember any of the other DJs, does anyone know who played? Even though I was going to Le Rox regularly, I remember being way scared just buing the tickets (which I still have the receipt for?) as I was only 15, but then I was too scared to order anything from that Milkbar at "CherryLane" too, let alone "Melky's", "Max's" or the "Konditeri"!!!!
