I know im not the only one who see's speed camera's in the same spot all the time. Its quite obvious that the revenue raisers have their sure money making spots around Adelaide.

Jeffcot Street - North Adelaide - Mostly between Barton Terrace and Wellington Square

Thankfully I have been fortunate enough (touch wood) to not have had a speeding fine in over 4 years!

Im hoping this could help us all save a few hard earned bucks.

Where do you see speed camera's set up all the time?

King William Rd, outside the festival centre on both sides of the road.
joker4r
nottage tce medindie, always there
SUPERSHOOTERr
Saw 2 Radars and a Laser Gun in a matter of 2kms on Anzac Hwy the other day. That is revenue raising.
Davinr
oh no no no, Anzac Highway must be a blackspot!

*ducks for cover as 30 pigs swoop dangerously close during a low flying bombing run*
SUPERSHOOTERr
It's just annoying that cops go and target Anzac Hwy, there are hardly any major crashes on there, let alone from speeding. It's just easy to pick up somebody doing 65 on a LOOOONNNNGGGG, straight, 3/6 laned road.
Decepticonr
theres at least 1 a week on Kesters Road - Para Hills. leading into main north road, always catch the suckers going over 60 on a 50kmph road.
Oldskoolier
thats been a good spot for a while
joker4r
its just revenue raising, that all i say!!!!!
scatteredr
they should change there signs from saying:

"Speed cameras save lives"

to

"Speed Cameras raise Revenue"
lolor

Are you kidding? Anzac H/way on a Saturday night is a major speed zone. Only a few months ago, some guy died in a motorcycle accident there. Every Sat night there are heaps of drags at every set of lights, and this happens quite early in the evening when there is lots of traffic. I hate cops revenue raising as much as anyone, but.... sometimes it might save lives.

Anzac International Raceway....? AIR

If you get a speeding fine/ red light and are un-sure on whether you actually committed the offence or not, Or even if you feel the government should not get a cent of your hard earnt life then contest" Cause i DO....

Due to technology, proven by that fact that humans can not function at a capacity of 100% all the time, neither can machines... As some may hav seen that speacial by A current affair"... People ar urging people to contest as all machine are subject to malfunctions. This Is GOLD people, Greedy REVENUE raising...

therefore in a court of law the fine in rejected due to the fact that beyond probable doubt not one can guarantee its accuracy all the time" THIS IS A TRUTH, hence it it is a machine", and in court it hold little relevance of factual edvidence.

Its about time the dodgy system that they created now on naturally consumes them'

Of course one must have the time to do this,

Stand up for ourrights it is time'... mad.gif

I contested a fine for doing 63 in a 50 zone. Raodworks had incorrectly returned the zone to 60 instead of 50, so I took a photo of the sign and went to court.

The judge found me not guilty of 63 in a 50 zone, and asked if I would plead to a lesser charge of 63 in a 60. I agreed, so he deemed the offence trivial and recorded no loss of demerit points, and no fine. Police prosecution waived their costs, so I thought I was on a winner here....until I got the bill for court costs of $150.....$20 more than the original speed camera fine.

If that isn't the system bending you over, I don't know what is sad.gif
Oldskoolier
The system, and its reeming work well.

sir donald bradman drive.. around the airport brooklyn park area..

joker4r
WTF, since when has there been a red light carmera at the corner of hinley and west tce, by the maccas there, or have i been driving around with my eyes close the whole time lol, i saw it there last nite, and im like oh shit, better slow down, dont know if it is a speed one to or not....
DeLr
i havnt seen one there yet either. tho i heard on the radio that they was setting up a new camera on west tce. just didint hear of the exact location. sounds pretty frked....
foonjir
are you serious?? i've never noticed it ohmy.gif

they've been installing a few more red light cameras lately.

one day someone is gonna go around with a .303 and shoot out all the cameras laugh.gif
DeLr
wont need to be too close with a 303 a 1 mile range on them frkers wink.gif hehhe nah i prefer the paint ball gun style wink.gif not as loud or as hazardous if u miss!

might take the 7 for a drive and go check it out
joker4r
ummm paint ball,,
foonjir
bah, paintball is inaccurate as all shite. a good shooter won't miss smile.gif
DeLr
paintball maybe les accurate... but a speed camera wont stop a 303 shell..... so where does it end up later??? hmm saftey first wink.gif
foonjir
your right the speed camera won't stop the shell...the ground will once it hits the ground after being ejected by the rifle.

but on the other hand the projectile will be slowed down and considerable amount by the lens, metal and components inside @ 1 mile it will barely have enough kinetic energy to continue much further once it reaches the rear.
DeLr
id still say the projectile would still pose a danger to passer bys wink.gif

and its hardly as much fun as paintballing!

to be safe id support teh use of a silenced and scopped .22 projectile is small enuff ot do the job and power of the weapons lower and the backing plate of the camera box woudl prolly with hold hte bullet inside the casing.
Davinr
10lb sledge hammer for me...oh and maybe then taking to the pieces left on the ground with a .44

smile.gif
missvixenr
i would go the sledge hammer 2, relieve more stress when its hand on...not into guns *peace* laugh.gif
DeLr
need to be close tho... and alof of cameras have cameras watching them, security style as when first introduced there was alot of rage taken out on them
Davinr
about 10 years ago a truck driver went around to every red light camera in adelaide and run them over...think that might be the rage you're refering to smile.gif
missvixenr
lol i think ur right dav.....what a psyco laugh.gif
SUPERSHOOTERr
I'd love for somebody to do that truck trick again. Losing big bucks over doing 65 is just wrong.
missvixenr
no shit, i hate this road near my house.
its like 50, but it is safe enough to do HEAPS faster, it is a straight and why that is the limit is beyond me. there is a hall on that road and we party there occasionally and lots of teens live around the area so there is a constent supply of partys. so the coppers love to catch us (well not me personally, i dont even have my L's *hangs head in shame*).
Davinr
*makes L for loser sign at you then runs off giggling like a little girl*
foonjir
my road is 60, can easily do a safe 80 on it (even 100), but for some reason people still manage to lose it at 80. *sigh* stupid drivers.
missvixenr
lol...shut up tongue.gif, i dont have time....i will have to take a day off school to get them. actually i think im going on thurs...me thinks me should practice

....they prob dont know the road well enough, so many ppl lose it on uppersturt road cos they think they can handle it, but all u need to do is misjudge one of those bloody corners and ur fcukd dry.gif
SUPERSHOOTERr
What is even more annoying, old people, and certain drivers go 10-20kph under the limit and they don't get booked for obstructing traffic and in my opinion, that is more dangerous in high speed zones.
missvixenr
bloody sunday drivers, i hate them

...yea i agree sshooter, we need to make seperate roads for them - ones that they can take all day driving along admiring the autum leaves.
i shit u not, that is seriouly what they do. i dont quite understand the fasination, must be a childhood thing from the old days where u had to use a rake to move leaves, not now tho, we r all hi tek with our leave blowers. smile.gif
DeLr
its just dementia setting in... looking at clouds and treees etc...

i enjoy a sunday drive but the speed limit is alimit set for saftey first, i drive mediaum sized trucks n bus's due to my job and i can tell you down old green hill in a 10 tonne truck is scarey and u do 35 when the sign says 35! or ur off the edge.... but in the rx7 u do about 120 round the same corner..

capabilitys of driver/vehicle make a huge difference on the raod
i think instead of speed traps we should have more driver training. prevention instead of fines!
joker4r
since when do they put red light cameras at pedestrian crossings?????

on magill rd at st morris next to the school, WTF not anther one lol
Drewskir
yeah, theres another red light camera on Portrush road, between the Parade & Kensington road @ the pedistrian lights...

Sneaky pricks!!
DeLr
how long has the one at the intersection of Holdbrooks and Henley beach road been there?

saw it for hte first time today...
joker4r
i dont think that long cause i only just saw it bout 2 weeks ago, and it had the orange stuff around it, to stop ppl falling into the hole around it,

damn cops!!!!!!
DeLr
so do speed cameras save lives???i dont think so.. i think its just revenue raising.. fair enuff u slow down after u get flashed.. but these are at intersections... and hoe many DEATHS actually occure at intersections..

maybe plentyof accidents. buthardly any deaths

i second that!!!!!!

in the sunday mail 2 day they where saying that king willam rd other wize known as the "million dollar road" raked up $926,586 in fines in 2004, umm revenue raising no,... never... lol OF COUSE IT IS !!!!!!!!!!
brappinsevenr
that hindley st camera has been there for quite some time now

i went through it 1 night n the fucker flashed just as i got across the intersection
i wasnt speeding tho so i have no idea what triggered it
altho i was head towards anzacs n i believe the camera is facing the other way

still aint got anything in the post tho biggrin.gif
SUPERSHOOTERr
The Hindley St Camera is awesome! It's hard to notice, so when some moron in a 5.0L Commo drove past, I gave a bit of a rev, then he bolted thru the intersection, FLASH hahahahahaha!
brappinsevenr
haha ill have to remember that 1 biggrin.gif
