Toys!

It was Jordans 6th Birthday on Thursday, and we bought him a ROBOSAPIEN.

Does anyone else have one?

They are so cool, it burps, farts, dances, walks forwards backwards and turns, fights, picks stuff up and throws it.... its unreal!!!!

I rang toys r us and they had them for $150, but I managed to pick one up at BigW for $134...

Wayne told me that Jordan said he had to get one so they could fight them... don't know if that is true or if Wayne just wants one....

What other cool toys are out there? I'm already starting to think about what to get Jordan for christmas...

Toys have come along way since i was a boy. I had blocks. Not that im knocking blocks, quite the opposite. I feel that some of the old school toys like blocks and lego etc help kids develop their fine motor skills.
To answer your question, i saw in the toys r us catalogue just yesterday that you can get a radio control plane for $39.00. or the Atlas 2 in 1 which is a radio control land vehicle and a plane wich launches from the vehicle for just $69.00 OR a radio control boat on a trailer of a radio controlled jeep for only $79...

When i was a kid my 1st real RC car cost over $300 and me and my dad had to build it... it was excellent but very expensive for those days.... It seems such old technology now... But alot of fun!!!!!!!

I have 3 1/10th scale RC cars, and a few small ones.. also have an electric helicopter.. Yes, I'm a big kid..
got another one today with a Pioneer HU - was for free..

toys have definitely come along way, look at the PSP for example.. components for R/C cars (proper electric/nitro ones) are also advanced and expensive too

Ive been thinking of getting a nitro wrx gotta justify the 400$ tho

i've got a mini-electric heli aswell, crazy little things... havent used it lately, still waiting for a new tail motor.

used to have a fuel heli aswell, but never flew it, was too scared i'd smash it into a million pieces. i've smashed a plane into a million pieces aswell...wat a fun flight that was.

hahaha Michael.. the helicopter is a bugger to fly, haven't used it for months, but will try again soon..

i always wanted [but never got] a science chemistry set.. went in to the toyshop when i was 6 buit the box said you needed to be 8+ [or somethign like that].. my career could have gone in an entirely different direction

re: robosapien.. i've read about a dinosaur version, by the same company i think, that they just brought out..

when i was young, i had plane old lego, thats rocks... i wish i still had some, i wanted the big tenic car, i think thats what they call it..

but now when ever i go in to the toy shops, or any other shop that has toys in it, im down there... i got a few of those hottet up matchbox cars, and the big import ones

and a few of electric big ford and holden r/c cars, yes i know, im still a big kid

i still got about 20 lego kits from when i was a kid! Lego was the b0mb!

Yeah... I've got one of those cubes full of lego somewhere... mostly all the space lego loved it...

When I was in Denmark last year I went to Legoland... that was a dream on mine as a kid, I finally made it!

Lego rocks!! I had bucket loads of the stuff and still do. All my nephews play with them. It amazing what a bucket load of lego can do to 2 or 3 nephews running amuk. It can quiet them down it some of the stuff thay can make. Its good getting the kids using there heads.
I remember when John Martins in the city use to have lego shows. My mum use to take me there. But it was no where near as huge as what paul put up but it was pretty impressive for sure.

I love the Lego Shows a JMs... I seriously wanted to spend MILLIONS on train lego after seeing a massive train display one year!

lego is teh bom.. those JM shows were the best.. i'm getting excited just thinking about them!!

I had obscene amounts of lego as a kid. I was around at my parents place a few months ago, and was going through my old junk left there including my lego.

What blew me away was the technical detail I put into my own custom builds. I couldn't do something like that now if I tried!?!?

When I was 10yo, I built an open top race car that was about 300mm long. Twin turbo, inercooled straight 6 engine, independant suspension, rack and pinion steering and so on. Mechanically it's scarily like my now beloved GTR skylines, but was built some 4 years before the R32 GTRs were released LOL. I couldn't bring myself to break it down

this makes me want to play with lego again

I'm thankful i managed to keep hold of my lego collection - I've now passed it on to my kids. My youngest plays with it every day - would probably be his favourite toy - and I get to play it with him

He's big on the Star Wars Lego - we just made the Tie Bomber and Clone Troop Carrier. I'd say it's definitely helping his spatial and reasoning abilities - he's doing the 10+ age group kits at 5 years old. You could say he was a chip off the old block..

Head Knockers are the bomb. They even sell them in Fellas these days.

only got Violent Jay and Shaggy 2 dope from Insane Clown Posse, soon to come is Marv from sin city in both black&white and colour versions and the Predator.

My h/mate has had wrestling head knockers for years

lego.. and the old Mecano sets.. now the mecano sets rocked! lil nuts n bolts and build bridges n stuff made to last.. shame it got rusty after a while and was all thrown out.. now i just gota couple collectable rx7s and ofcourse a few game consoles..

picked up this sweet elf head knocker last week

within my group of friends there is one toy that has been amusing us greatly ever since D'zire bought them a few weeks ago at Bimbo... 10 sets of fake teeth, of all various styles, but all totally gross and hilarious....check out these pics of the mayhem

they fight eachother?? i heard that you can set it a perimeter and it will walk around like a guard dog, and growl at ppl it doent like... i reconk that in itself sound cool!!

when i went to hong kong i managed to smuggle back some bb guns.....BEST TOY I EVER HAD. i mean whats more fun that shooting your friends with bbs (just dont aim for da face) i also got 2 MASSIVE motorpower m16 bb rifles.....we wore safty glasses when playing with thoose babys



smp get ya kid a bb gun....no other kids will have them so he can shoot them all!
