Lol, not noise pollution, zone violation. They've changed the zoning laws in town a few years ago so that it's illegal to place a video games arcade in the CBD.
The only arcades left in Adelaide are;
Tunza Fun @ Tea Tree Plaza (managed by Kimone)
Tunza Fun @ Elizabeth (managed by yours truly)
Intencity Marion & Intencity Norwood.
Intencity Salisbury closed down a week ago, they couldn't afford to continue paying rent after we opened

Rumours are there will be an arcade opening at Collenades (sp) possibly by the end of this year, and that where Magic Mountain used to be they're opening a gaming arcade... Altho this doesn't seem very reliable information. Both sites offered us (Tunza Fun) a position but they were asking ridiculous prices for rent from what I could gather.
HOWEVER! There are some arcade machines in town, operating as a business other than video games arcade. These places (and their games) are as follows;
Australia's Pizza House on Hindley St - This dodgy site has converted the back area into a sort of arcade with *some* cool games, such as Tekken 5 (standing vs. cabinet), Mortal Kombat, Police 24/7, NBA Jam & a Boxer. Other pinballs, skillied etc etc also but they're kinda crappy.
Burger Bar (aka Red & White cafe) on O'Connel St - Lots of dodgy games out back. Nothing heaps worth playing or venturing there for. Don't ever buy their AB's, go to the Blue & White instead

China Town Food Court - Gouger/Grote St (i think) - Now this is kind of amusing, they have a Beat Player 2000 which is basically a virtual DJ machine, 1 player has a turntable and 5 buttons, similar to DDR & other music sims where you have to hit the buttons in time to the music BUT unfortunately the game is NOT maintained so a bunch of buttons are sticky and so the game doesn't work properly. Bup-bow!
The Berkley - Hindley St - For the love of all things good and wholesome, don't bother. They have a DDR Extreme but it's heaps NOT worth it. They have a King of Fighters 2000 (i think) and another fighting game but they're very rarely turned on.
IN MY PERSONAL AND TOTALLY NON-BIASED OPINION - the best arcade in Adelaide is Tunza Fun @ TTP. It has such wicked and awesome games as Need For Speed Underground (Tournament Play, ie versus other ppl in Australia for glory, possibly prizes, COMING SOON!) In The Groove 2, Maximum Tune 2, Initial D 3... AND WE ARE GETTING A TIME CRISIS 4 DELUXE CABINET SOON!!!
...woah I really know too much about this stuff.
PM me if you have any questions about arcade stuff, I am happy to answer all your questions
