Not sure if there is already a Fringe topic lurking around but I thought i'd start one up!

Share the show's you've watched, would recommend etc smile.gif

I went tonight and saw the Grease Lightning Drag Show... funnies thing ever! And on Tuesday's they have alot of specials going on too!

I went and saw Frank Woodley's show. Was pretty good smile.gif

I recomend it, especially if you were a fan of Lano and Woodley smile.gif

My girl and I went to see Lawrence Leung Learns to Breakdance a few days ago and it was hilarious. Just the skits he showed us (the audience) was unbelievably funny.

Also heading to see Daniel Kitson next Tuesday I think. That should be good even though I don't know who that is laugh.gif

I really wanted to go see La Clique and Meow Meow but don't have the money for it because Future Music is this week sad.gif

I am a huge fan of his and also his friend that he works with whose name I forget right now.

Last night Alli & I saw Josh Thomas, I was very impressed, he's really funny for only 20 but not as innocent as I had thought he would be for some reason...

Warning to anyone going to see anything in the Pod; It's fkn hot in there!!!

Braden and I saw Josh Thomas last week... I love him!

At the beginning when he 'gets to know the audience' he asked me and braden a few things... braden and I were just our usual selves but the audience laughed at us and Josh said "oh look you've got your own 2 person comedy thing going on, well. shut the frak up they paid to see me not you" laugh.gif

My hot tips:

Don't go to La Clique now, because the main attraction (the bath gymnast) has injured himself and apparently the chick who's replaced him just doesn't quite measure up.

DEFINITELY go & see "The Smile off Your Face" if you're up for a real Fringe experience - they blindfold you, tie your hands & pop you in a wheelchair....and that's all I'm going to give away!! Don't be scared, just go!! It's only $15.00 & I think it really represents what the Fringe is all about - totally off the wall!

For those of you old enough to remember the "Choose your own Adventure" books, the act "Trouble on Planet Earth" is based on a similar concept - the audience gets to choose the direction of the play. It's soooooooo much fun & obviously very interactive. $19.00

The 2 above are at the old Balfours Factory - even if you don't see a show, make sure you at least go for a drink there, the set-up is super-cool (caravan sitting in it's own bed of disco balls, anyone???!!!) It's getting pulled down to build apartments after the Fringe, so go see a piece of Adelaide history before it's destroyed. sad.gif

Tom Tom Club is also wicked fun - acrobats, a DJ, champion beat-boxer & the drummer from The Bird...what more could you want??? thumbsupsmiley.png

My biggest tip - hang around any of the Fringe Venues long enough & an artist will offer you free tickets to something!!! Also sign up to the Talk Fringe & Adelaide Comedy websites for 2-4-1 deals & the occasional free ticket. You'll end up at something you would never have thought to go to!
